Crystal Clear Bonds For High Finish Interiors
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal is engineered for professional finishing where a strong bond or seal is required without a visible joint line. As a crystal clear sealant and transparent adhesive, it is particularly useful in modern interiors where clean detailing matters, including glass features, crisp trims and high finish surfaces. Traditional white or coloured products can distract from the design, but Fix ALL Crystal cures to a clear, discreet bead that helps preserve the original look of the substrate. Despite its near invisible finish, it still delivers a durable seal against moisture and everyday contamination, making it suitable for areas where appearance and long term performance must work together. The result is a neat, refined joint that supports premium outcomes on both new work and refurbishment.
SMX Hybrid Polymer Strength With Built In Flexibility
Based on SMX Hybrid Polymer technology, Fix ALL Crystal combines the behaviour of a high performance adhesive with the flexibility of a premium sealant. It is suitable for bonding, sealing and filling across a wide range of building and fit-out tasks, including joints that experience regular movement from temperature changes, vibration or minor settlement. Its neutral curing system supports broad compatibility across mixed material interfaces, helping maintain joint integrity without the issues sometimes associated with more aggressive cure chemistries. As a one component product, it offers predictable curing driven by ambient moisture, supporting consistent results across typical site conditions. This balance of strength and elasticity makes it a dependable choice where a clear finish is required but the joint still needs to work as the building moves.
Reliable Adhesion Across Mixed Substrates
Fix ALL Crystal is designed to adhere to most common construction substrates without priming, covering many porous and non porous materials typically found in interior fit-out and general building maintenance. It also performs well on slightly moist, damp and humid surfaces, which is valuable on refurbishment projects where ideal dryness cannot always be guaranteed. This broad adhesion profile supports practical, real world use across varied interfaces while maintaining a clear finished appearance. As with most sealants and adhesives, it is not suitable for low surface energy plastics where bonding is generally unreliable, specifically polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Selecting compatible substrates helps ensure the cured joint remains stable, durable and visually discreet.
Hygienic Wet Area Performance With Low Odour Comfort
For bathrooms, kitchens and shower zones, Fix ALL Crystal contains XS1 fungicides to help resist mould growth on the sealant surface, supporting cleaner looking joints in warm, humid environments. It is also virtually odourless compared with many solvent based products, improving comfort during use in occupied buildings and sensitive internal areas. After curing, it can be painted with many water based paint systems when a colour matched finish is preferred, while still retaining the benefits of a clear, flexible hybrid seal. Fix ALL Crystal also meets compliance expectations for food related environments and low emitting specifications on suitable projects, making it a strong option where hygiene, indoor comfort and appearance all matter.

Product Performance
Fix ALL Crystal is designed to deliver a fast, clean finish with a strong bond and dependable long term elasticity. Its skin formation time of around 4min supports efficient tooling and helps reduce the risk of surface contamination while finishing, which is particularly useful in sanitary sealing, interior trim work and transparent detailing where appearance is critical.
Once cured, the sealant maintains a ±20% movement capability, allowing joints to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction, vibration and minor settlement without splitting or losing contact at the joint edges. An elasticity modulus of around 0.60N/mm² and elastic recovery greater than 75% help the bead return towards its original shape after movement, supporting a reliable watertight and airtight seal in real building conditions.
Curing progresses at around 2mm/24h to 3mm/24h, which supports predictable planning for finishing schedules and service exposure. With a Shore A hardness of 38±5, the cured bead remains robust for everyday cleaning while still staying elastic, and the -40°C to +90°C temperature resistance supports performance across common interior and exterior environments. Combined with XS1 mould resistance and the benefit of a crystal clear finish, Fix ALL Crystal provides a practical on site product that looks refined once the job is complete.

Health & Safety Recommendations
Read the packaging label and Safety Data Sheet before use and follow normal site labour hygiene. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection and avoid prolonged skin contact. Provide good ventilation during application and throughout curing, particularly in small bathrooms, kitchens, cupboards, plant rooms and other confined spaces where vapours can build up. Keep the product away from food preparation during application and curing, and keep cartridges and tools out of reach of children and animals.
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal is a moisture curing SMX Hybrid Polymer adhesive sealant, so curing behaviour and skinning speed can vary with temperature, humidity and airflow. Apply within the stated application temperature range of +5°C to +35°C and avoid using the product where rain, wash-down or water splash is likely to disturb freshly applied joints before skin formation. Where substrates are unknown, sensitive, coated, or part of a critical waterproofing detail, carry out an adhesion and compatibility test before starting the main works.
Substrate Suitability
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal is designed for bonding and sealing across a wide range of common building substrates, including many porous and non-porous materials. Typical suitable surfaces include glass, lacquered wood, PVC, metal, brickwork and concrete, as well as many general construction materials used in finishing and fit-out. It can be applied to surfaces that are dry or slightly moist, which is useful in maintenance work and sanitary sealing where perfect dryness is not always achievable.
Do not use Soudal Fix ALL Crystal on PE, PP or PTFE (Teflon®), as adhesion is unreliable on these low surface energy plastics. It is also not suitable for bituminous substrates or copper and copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. Avoid stress loaded bonding on plastics such as PMMA (Plexi® glass) and polycarbonate (Makrolon® or Lexan®) because stress cracking and crazing can occur. Where polycarbonate is present, use Silirub PC. EPDM, neoprene, butyl and other plasticiser releasing materials can cause discoloration and loss of adhesion over time, so avoid contact; for EPDM use Silirub EPDM. For bitumen based detailing, use Soudal Soudafalt.
Surface Preparation
Substrate quality determines the finished bond strength and long term seal integrity, so preparation should be treated as part of the installation rather than an optional extra. The surface must be rigid, sound, and free from dust, grease, loose coatings and standing water. Remove existing failing sealants fully and clean the joint faces so the new bead contacts solid material rather than contamination. If masking is being used for a sharper finish on visible joints, apply the tape before extrusion and remove it immediately after tooling, before skin formation begins.
Porous surfaces should be primed with Soudal Primer 150 where improved surface consolidation or maximum adhesion is required, particularly on dusty masonry, absorbent cementitious substrates and similar materials. Non-porous surfaces can be cleaned and degreased with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser where needed, especially on metals, glossy finishes and plastics that are prone to finger marks, oils or workshop contamination. Plastics often carry release agents, processing aids, protective waxes or film residues from manufacture and delivery, so remove these thoroughly before sealing or bonding. Because plastics and coatings vary between manufacturers, a preliminary compatibility test is recommended whenever the substrate is unfamiliar.
Application Method
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal can be used both as a sealant and as an adhesive, but the joint design and installation approach should match the intended function. Load the cartridge into a suitable caulking gun, cut the nozzle to suit the required bead size, and apply steady pressure to maintain a continuous, void-free extrusion. Work methodically, especially on visible “clear finish” applications, because trapped air, interrupted beads and inconsistent tooling are much more noticeable with crystal clear products.
For sealing, apply an even bead into the joint without air inclusions and ensure the sealant wets both joint faces. Tool immediately to compact the bead and form the desired profile, using a spatula and a finishing solution where appropriate. Prevent finishing solution from getting between the joint edges and the sealant, as contamination at the adhesion faces can lead to partial debonding or edge lift over time. For best results, tool within the open working time and before skin formation begins, which can occur quickly with this product.
For bonding, apply the adhesive in beads or dots to one of the substrates, with particular attention to edges, corners and the perimeter of panels where peel forces can be higher. Bring the parts together before skin formation, press firmly to achieve contact, and tap down with a rubber hammer if appropriate to improve bedding. Support may be required while the bond develops, especially with heavier items or where the parts are under tension. In all cases, the strength of the bond depends more on the applied pressure and contact quality than on how long the parts are pressed together.

Joint Dimensions
Joint dimensions should be planned so that the sealant can move and cure correctly without being overstressed.
For sealing joints, use a minimum joint width of 5mm and a minimum joint depth of 5mm. The maximum recommended joint width for sealing is 10mm.
For bonding gaps, maintain tight, controlled bond lines where possible, with a minimum width of 1mm and a maximum width of 3mm.
This product is not suitable for expansion joints, so do not specify it where large structural movement is expected or where the joint detail is designed as a true movement joint.
Coverage
Coverage depends on bead size and joint geometry, so calculate based on the intended joint width and depth rather than relying on a single “per cartridge” figure. A continuous bead for sealing will use materially more product as the joint gets wider and deeper, and adhesive bonding in thick beads or repeated dots will also reduce coverage.
For accurate estimating, use the Platinum Chemicals online Sealant Estimate Calculator and base the inputs on the planned joint dimensions and total linear metres, allowing extra for wastage, nozzle trimming and tooling.
Curing Time
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal cures by reacting with moisture in the air and substrates. Skin formation occurs quickly at around 4min, so tooling and tape removal should be completed promptly after application. Curing then progresses at approximately 2mm/24h to 3mm/24h, depending on temperature, humidity, airflow and the nature of the joint. Deeper beads cure more slowly because moisture reaches the centre of the bead later, so allow additional time before exposing the joint to cleaning, movement, mechanical load or weather.
For adhesive applications, avoid stressing the bond early and provide support where necessary until sufficient strength has developed. For sanitary sealing, avoid wetting and cleaning the joint too soon, because early disturbance can compromise adhesion at the joint edges. Although the product is paintable with most water based paints after curing, always test first, as some paint systems can alter appearance on a clear bead and alkyd resin based paints can show longer drying times over the sealant.
Cleaning
Remove uncured product immediately using Soudal Swipex Wipes, keeping tools and adjacent surfaces clean as you work. If sealant is allowed to cure on tools or surfaces, it can only be removed mechanically, and Soudal Sealant Remover Spray can assist with the removal process where appropriate.
On visible installations, clean smears promptly, as clear sealant residues can be difficult to see until they catch light at certain angles. Dispose of waste material responsibly and do not wash large quantities of uncured product into drains.
Limitations
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal is not suitable for continuous water immersion and should not be used in areas that remain permanently submerged. It is not suitable for expansion joints or large movement joints, and it must not be used as a glazing sealant; for glazing applications use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN. It is not suitable for self-cleaning glass; use Soudal SMX 506. It is not suitable for aquariums; use Silirub AQ. Avoid use on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, bronze and brass due to adhesion and compatibility limitations, and avoid stress loaded bonding on PMMA and polycarbonate due to the risk of cracking and crazing; on polycarbonate use Silirub PC.
On natural stones such as marble and granite, the product will not “stain” in the traditional sense, but the crystal clear formulation can create a permanent wet-look effect because it visually deepens the surface beneath the bead. Consider whether this appearance change is acceptable before use. Avoid contact with bitumen, tar and plasticiser releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene and butyl because discoloration and adhesion loss can occur; for EPDM use Silirub EPDM, and for bitumen use Soudal Soudafalt. The sanitary formulation supports mould resistance, but it does not replace regular cleaning, and heavy contamination, deposits and soap residue can still encourage fungal growth on the surface.
Other Information
Soudal Fix ALL Crystal is a low emitting adhesive sealant that aligns with LEED low emitting material requirements for adhesives and sealants, referencing SCAQMD Rule 1168 and USGBC LEED 2009 Credit 4.1 expectations for VOC content, where project documentation requires such compliance. Colour change can occur in total absence of UV, and discolouration may occur due to chemicals, high temperatures or prolonged UV exposure. Under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure, some discoloration is possible even on otherwise suitable installations, so use a test area where appearance is critical.
When using different reactive joint sealants in the same area, ensure the first product is fully cured before applying the next to prevent compatibility issues. Avoid spilling sealant onto adjacent visible surfaces by masking or careful extrusion technique, and keep finishing solution confined to the tooling method rather than washing it across the joint edges. Store the product as recommended on the packaging, protect it from extreme temperatures, and once opened, use it promptly to maintain reliable extrusion and curing behaviour.
Q) What is Fix ALL Crystal and what type of product is it?
A) Fix ALL Crystal is a premium, crystal clear adhesive sealant based on advanced SMX Hybrid Polymer technology. It is a one component, neutral curing product designed for bonding, sealing and filling where you want a strong result without a visible joint line. It adheres to most common construction materials without primer in many situations and can be used indoors or outdoors, including in changeable weather. Once cured it remains permanently elastic with a ±20% movement capability, so the joint stays flexible and watertight rather than turning brittle. It is also virtually odourless and includes XS1 fungicides for mould resistance in sanitary areas.
Q) Why would I choose Fix ALL Crystal instead of a white silicone or standard sealant?
A) The main reason is appearance. Fix ALL Crystal cures to a 100% transparent finish, so it is ideal when a visible white or coloured bead would spoil a high finish detail. It is commonly used on glass features, premium trims, glossy surfaces and modern interiors where neat lines matter. Unlike many clear silicones that are limited to sealing, this product also works as a strong adhesive sealant, so you can bond and seal with one system. It remains permanently elastic, handles ±20% movement, and offers good resistance to everyday moisture. With XS1 fungicides it is also well suited to bathrooms and kitchens where hygiene and long term cleanliness matter.
Q) What are the most common uses for Fix ALL Crystal in the home and on site?
A) Fix ALL Crystal is used for discreet sealing and bonding where you want strength without a visible bead. Typical jobs include sealing around baths, basins, shower trays and tiled junctions where a clear sanitary finish looks cleaner than a white line. It is also used for sealing splashbacks, trims, panels and finishing joints around fitted furniture and interior details. As an adhesive it can bond compatible materials for small repairs, trim fitting and tidy remedial work where you want a neat, almost invisible bond line. Because it can be applied to slightly damp or humid surfaces, it suits maintenance work where perfect dryness is difficult. Outdoors it can seal compatible junctions where a clear finish is preferred.
Q) Can Fix ALL Crystal be used outside in all weather conditions?
A) Yes, Fix ALL Crystal is designed for interior and exterior use and can be applied in all weather conditions, including on slightly damp and humid surfaces. That makes it useful for external detailing and repairs where waiting for perfect dry conditions is not realistic. The cured joint remains elastic and stable across typical temperature swings, with a stated service range of -40°C to +90°C, helping it cope with seasonal movement. Good practice still matters. Ensure the joint edges are clean and stable, avoid sealing over active leaks, and protect fresh work from rain wash off before skin formation. Apply within the recommended +5°C to +35°C range to maintain reliable gunning and cure behaviour.
Q) Will Fix ALL Crystal stick properly to slightly damp surfaces?
A) It is designed to adhere strongly to many slightly moist, damp and humid surfaces, which is a major advantage on refurbishment work and urgent repairs. The key is that the surface must be stable and free from contamination. Wipe off standing water, remove dust, grease, soap residues and loose material, then apply so the sealant can wet out the substrate properly. Damp dust and film residues often cause more failures than moisture itself, because they act as bond breakers. If the substrate is porous and dusty, stabilise it first, and where maximum reliability is needed use Soudal Primer 150. Once applied, tool neatly and allow enough cure time before stressing or washing the joint.
Q) Is Fix ALL Crystal suitable for bathrooms and does it resist mould?
A) Yes. Fix ALL Crystal contains XS1 fungicides which help resist mould growth on the sealant surface, making it suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and shower areas where warm humidity and condensation are common. It is particularly useful where you want a hygienic joint that stays clear and discreet around sanitaryware and tiles. For best results, preparation is crucial. Remove old sealant fully, clean away limescale and soap film, and make sure joint faces are dry to the touch and contamination free before sealing. Tool to a smooth profile so water sheds rather than sitting on the bead. Mould resistance supports long term appearance, but regular cleaning and good ventilation are still needed to keep joints looking their best.
Q) What materials does Fix ALL Crystal bond to without primer?
A) Fix ALL Crystal offers strong primerless adhesion to most common construction materials in many typical situations, including glass, lacquered wood, metals, masonry, many ceramics and many stable plastics used in interiors and fit out work. It is a neutral curing hybrid, so it is generally compatible across mixed substrates without the issues associated with more aggressive cure systems. Even so, primerless does not mean prep free. Cleanliness and stability matter more than anything, so remove dust, oil, release agents and old sealant residues. Where porous substrates are weak, chalky or very absorbent, use Soudal Primer 150 to improve consistency. If you are sealing in a critical detail or on an unfamiliar coating, always do a small adhesion test first.
Q) Can Fix ALL Crystal be used on natural stone and will it change the appearance?
A) Fix ALL Crystal is suitable for natural stone and is classed as non staining, but you should be aware of how a clear sealant can look on porous stone. Because it is crystal clear, it can create a permanent wet look effect where the bead contacts the stone, especially on lighter marbles and limestones. That is not a failure, it is a visual characteristic of a transparent product on absorbent material. If the joint is in a prominent area, test on an offcut or a hidden edge first to confirm the appearance is acceptable. Mask carefully to keep the bead tight and tidy, tool neatly, and clean smears immediately so you do not spread residue into the stone texture.
Q) Are there any plastics or surfaces Fix ALL Crystal should not be used on?
A) Yes. Like most high performance sealants, Fix ALL Crystal is not suitable for low surface energy plastics such as PE, PP and PTFE (Teflon®) because reliable bonding is unlikely. It should also be avoided on bituminous substrates, and it is not suitable on copper or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. Be cautious with stress loaded plastic bonding. On PMMA (Plexi® glass) and polycarbonate (Makrolon® or Lexan®), stress cracking and crazing can occur in demanding situations, so it is not recommended for those stress loaded bonds. Where polycarbonate sealing is required, use Silirub PC. If EPDM is involved, use Silirub EPDM to avoid plasticiser related discolouration and adhesion loss.
Q) How flexible is Fix ALL Crystal once cured and what movement can it handle?
A) Fix ALL Crystal remains permanently elastic after curing and is designed to accommodate joint movement up to ±20% when the joint is correctly designed and prepared. This makes it suitable for many day to day building joints where materials expand and contract, vibrate, or settle slightly over time. It is not an expansion joint sealant, so it should not be used where large structural movement is expected, but it is ideal for connection joints that need ongoing flexibility with a clear finish. The cured bead has a robust but elastic feel, with a typical Shore A hardness of 38±5, helping it stay durable under normal cleaning while still moving with the joint rather than cracking.
Q) Can Fix ALL Crystal be painted over once it has cured?
A) Yes, Fix ALL Crystal can be painted with many water based paint systems once cured, which is useful if you want the clear joint to disappear completely within a decorated finish. The critical point is timing. Do not paint while the sealant is still curing, because paint can restrict cure and lead to cracking, poor finish or reduced durability. Allow cure to develop fully, then do a small compatibility test with the actual paint you plan to use. The paint film must also be flexible enough to move with a permanently elastic sealant. If you need a coloured joint line that remains exposed, consider whether a coloured sealant would be more appropriate, but for discreet finishing, painting over a fully cured bead works well.
Q) How do I apply Fix ALL Crystal neatly as a sealant?
A) Start with clean, stable joint edges and mask both sides if you want a crisp line, especially on glossy surfaces where smears show easily. Cut the nozzle to suit the joint width and gun a steady, continuous bead, making sure the product contacts both sides without gaps or air pockets. Tool immediately, compacting the bead into the joint and shaping it to a smooth profile that sheds water and resists dirt pick up. Fix ALL Crystal has a fast skin formation of around four minutes, so plan your runs so you can tool without rushing. Remove masking tape straight after tooling while the bead is still fresh. Keep finishing liquids away from the adhesion faces to avoid edge lift.
Q) What is the best way to use Fix ALL Crystal as an adhesive for invisible bonding?
A) For bonding, apply Fix ALL Crystal in beads or dots to one substrate, then bring the parts together before skin formation begins. Press firmly to wet out the bond line and achieve maximum contact, because bond quality depends more on applied pressure than on how long you hold it. On panels and trims, run a continuous bead near edges and corners to reduce peel stress, then add beads through the centre where needed. If the item is heavy, vertical or under stress, use temporary support until curing has progressed through the bead. Because the product cures crystal clear, it is ideal for neat repairs and discreet bonding, but trapped air and uneven bead thickness can still be visible, so aim for smooth, consistent application.
Q) What surface preparation products should I use with Fix ALL Crystal for best results?
A) Good preparation is about removing anything that prevents adhesion and ensuring the joint faces are sound. On non porous surfaces, clean and degrease with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser to remove oils, fingerprints and workshop contamination, then allow it to flash off fully. On porous, dusty or friable substrates, use Soudal Primer 150 where improved cohesion and maximum adhesion are needed, particularly on critical sealing details. Remove all old sealant residues, loose paint and powdery material, because a strong sealant will still fail if the substrate surface layer shears away. If you are masking, apply tape before gunning and remove it immediately after tooling. Always do a small adhesion and appearance test when working on unknown coatings, plastics or high value finishes.
Q) What working time and cure speed should I expect from Fix ALL Crystal?
A) Fix ALL Crystal is designed for quick, clean finishing, with skin formation at around four minutes under typical conditions. That means you should tool promptly and avoid leaving the bead exposed before finishing. Cure then progresses at approximately 2mm to 3mm per twenty four hours, influenced by temperature, humidity, airflow and bead thickness. Deep beads take longer to cure through, so allow more time before heavy cleaning, water exposure or mechanical stress. Apply within the recommended +5°C to +35°C range and maintain ventilation during cure, especially in bathrooms and cupboards. If you are bonding items, support them if needed until adequate cure has developed, because early movement can weaken the bond line even if the surface feels firm.
Q) How do I estimate coverage and how much Fix ALL Crystal I will need?
A) Coverage depends on joint width and depth, so estimate by volume rather than by guessing metres per cartridge. Narrow sanitary joints use far less product than wider gaps or bonding beads. For a reliable calculation, use the Platinum Chemicals Sealant Estimate Calculator and input the joint dimensions and total run length, then add a margin for corners, nozzle trimming and tooling losses. If you are using it as an adhesive, coverage varies with bead diameter and spacing, so a short trial on the actual substrates can be the quickest way to confirm consumption. Keep joint design sensible. Overfilling wastes product, makes tooling messier, and can extend cure time. Underfilling risks voids and poor water resistance, especially in wet areas.
Q) What is the best way to clean up Fix ALL Crystal during and after application?
A) Clean as you go, especially because clear residues can be hard to spot until they catch the light. While uncured, wipe off smears and excess using Soudal Swipex Wipes, keeping wipes clean so you do not spread a thin film across glossy surfaces. On porous materials, use controlled wiping and avoid grinding residue into the texture. Once cured, the product generally needs mechanical removal. If you need extra help with residue removal, use Soudal Sealant Remover Spray according to its instructions, then remove softened material carefully. Always test cleaners on a hidden area first on plastics, coated metals and painted finishes. Keep joint faces free from finishing liquids and cleaners before sealing, because contamination at the adhesion faces can lead to edge lift later.
Q) What are the main limitations of Fix ALL Crystal that people often overlook?
A) The biggest limitation is that it is not suitable for expansion joints, so do not use it where large structural movement is expected. It is also not suitable for continuous water immersion, so avoid permanently submerged joints. Adhesion is unreliable on PE, PP and PTFE (Teflon®), and it should not be used on bituminous substrates or copper, bronze and brass. It is not a glazing sealant, so for glazing systems and façade joints use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN. It is not suitable for aquariums, use Silirub AQ. Avoid contact with EPDM and other plasticiser releasing materials such as neoprene and butyl because discolouration and adhesion loss can occur, so use Silirub EPDM where EPDM is involved.
Q) Does Fix ALL Crystal meet any standards for low emissions or food related environments?
A) Yes. Fix ALL Crystal is designed to support low emitting specifications and is relevant to LEED low emitting materials requirements for adhesives and sealants, with reference to SCAQMD Rule 1168 and USGBC LEED 2009 Credit 4.1 expectations for VOC content, depending on project documentation. It is also described as suitable for food related environments, supported by ISEGA declaration of compliance, and it references FDA CFR 21 177.2600(e) for repeated contact with aqueous foods within the scope of that regulation. In practical terms, this makes it a strong choice for kitchens, food adjacent fit outs and occupied buildings where low odour and emissions matter. Always follow site hygiene and allow full cure before service exposure.
Q) What practical tips help achieve a truly invisible finish with Fix ALL Crystal?
A) Plan for neatness before you gun the bead. Mask edges where possible, keep the nozzle cut small and consistent, and apply steady pressure to avoid ripples and trapped air. Tool immediately because skin formation is fast, and compact the bead properly so there are no voids that catch light. Keep finishing liquids away from the adhesion faces, as contamination can cause edge lift that becomes very noticeable on a clear joint. Clean smears immediately with Soudal Swipex Wipes and avoid over wiping, which can spread a thin clear film across glossy surfaces. On porous stone, test first because a clear bead can create a wet look effect. On high finish work, good lighting during application helps you spot residue before it cures.
Q) How should Fix ALL Crystal be stored and what should I know about opened cartridges?
A) Store Fix ALL Crystal in its original packaging, sealed and kept away from extreme heat, frost and direct weather exposure. Hybrid sealants cure by moisture reaction, so once a cartridge is opened, skinning can occur in the nozzle and the product has a limited practical life before extrusion quality drops. If you need to pause, leave the nozzle on, and cap it as tightly as possible to reduce air exposure, then check for skin before restarting. For best reliability on visible work, use opened product promptly rather than trying to stretch it over long periods. Keep cartridges upright where practical to reduce mess, and avoid contamination of the nozzle with dust and finishing liquids. If the product has thickened unusually or contains cured lumps, discard it and start with a fresh cartridge to maintain finish quality.
