Flexible Hybrid Performance For Demanding Building Joints

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack is a versatile, multi use adhesive sealant engineered for modern construction, refurbishment and maintenance where flexibility, adhesion and long term durability are essential. Formulated on SMX Hybrid Polymer technology, it combines smooth extrusion and clean handling with high movement accommodation once cured, helping joints and bonded interfaces remain intact as materials expand, contract, vibrate or settle. This makes it well suited to real building junctions where rigid adhesives can fail and more brittle sealants may crack, split or de-bond over time. By delivering a resilient, permanently elastic seal, Fix ALL Flexi supports reliable performance across mixed substrates and changing site conditions, while still offering the neat, professional finish expected in visible detailing and general maintenance work.

600ml Foil Packs For Efficient, Low Waste Application

Supplied in 600ml foil packs, Fix ALL Flexi is particularly attractive for users who want professional output with less waste and more usable product per unit. Compared with rigid cartridges, foil packs typically leave far less residual sealant behind, meaning a greater proportion of the pack contents can be delivered to the joint rather than remaining trapped in the packaging. The empty pack is also quicker to dispose of, which helps keep work areas tidier on busy projects. The foil format supports efficient, continuous output on longer runs, making it a strong choice for repeat-use contractors and serious DIY users who want consistent performance on larger sealing or bonding tasks. For ongoing work where productivity and value matter, the foil pack option provides an economical, site-friendly way to specify Fix ALL Flexi.

Broad Adhesion With Permanent Elasticity Outdoors And In

Fix ALL Flexi is designed to bond and seal across a very wide range of substrates, covering both porous and non porous materials with reliable primerless adhesion in many typical conditions. It can also be applied to numerous slightly moist surfaces, which is a genuine advantage on refurbishment and maintenance work where perfect dryness is difficult to guarantee. Once cured, the material remains permanently elastic to accommodate ongoing movement, while maintaining a tidy joint line that stays functional in service. It also resists UV exposure and ageing, supporting dependable performance in exterior locations where sunlight, temperature cycling and weathering can quickly degrade lower grade sealants. This balance of adhesion, flexibility and durability makes Fix ALL Flexi a practical choice for long-lasting sealing and bonding across domestic, commercial and light industrial environments.

Cleaner Looking Sanitary Seals And A Paintable Finish Option

For sanitary and interior finishing work, Fix ALL Flexi incorporates XS1 fungicides to provide excellent resistance against mould development, helping joints stay cleaner looking for longer in humid environments. This makes it well suited to bathrooms, kitchens and other condensation-prone areas where appearance and hygiene matter over time. The formulation is also suitable for natural stone, helping avoid staining concerns that can arise when incompatible sealants are used on sensitive materials. Where a coordinated finish is required, Fix ALL Flexi can be painted with water based systems once cured, allowing the joint line to blend with surrounding décor. This supports a neat, professional appearance on trims, panels, frames and adjacent decorated surfaces, while retaining the movement capability needed to prevent cracking and edge failure.

Product Performance

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi - Foil Packs are built around a performance balance that matters in practice: strong adhesion, controlled tooling, and long-term elasticity. With a skin formation time of around 10 minutes, it quickly develops a surface that helps protect the joint from disruption during finishing stages, while still allowing sufficient working time for clean tooling and a professional bead shape. Its neutral cure chemistry supports broad substrate compatibility and a more comfortable experience indoors, particularly in kitchens, bathrooms and maintenance work where nuisance odour is a common complaint with some sealants.

Once cured, the sealant remains permanently elastic with a maximum allowed joint movement of ±20%, helping joints tolerate everyday building movement without losing integrity. A Shore A hardness of around 45 ± 5 provides a durable feel that holds a clean joint line, while still remaining flexible enough to cope with vibration and thermal cycling. High elongation performance, around 750%, supports resilience in dynamic joints and bonded interfaces, and elastic recovery above 60% helps the seal return towards its original shape after movement, improving long-term joint reliability.

Curing progresses at around 2 to 3mm per 24 hours, meaning deeper beads require appropriate time before full service exposure, especially in humid sanitary zones or exterior joints. Temperature resistance from -40°C to +90°C supports dependable performance through seasonal extremes, helping the seal maintain function in external detailing and unheated spaces. Combined with the efficiency advantages of the 600ml foil pack format, Fix ALL Flexi delivers a practical, professional-grade solution for users who want high performance bonding and sealing with reduced waste and cleaner site handling.

Health & Safety Recommendations

Read the packaging label and Safety Data Sheet before starting work, and follow all normal site hygiene practices throughout use. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection as a minimum, and avoid prolonged skin contact. Keep the work area well ventilated during application and throughout curing, particularly in enclosed spaces such as bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and internal refurbishment areas. If irritation occurs, stop work, wash thoroughly with clean water, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

Take care when working at height, around openings, or near electrical services and pipework. Keep the area clear of trip hazards, trailing cables, and loose materials. Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying Soudal Fix ALL Flexi, and wash hands before breaks and after finishing. Store unopened packs in accordance with the product packaging guidance and keep out of reach of children.

Substrate Suitability

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is a neutral curing SMX Hybrid Polymer adhesive sealant designed for bonding and sealing across a broad range of common construction materials. It performs well on many rigid, stable substrates and is suitable for internal and external use, including applications where surfaces may be dry or slightly moist. It adheres well to typical building surfaces including concrete, brick, masonry, ceramic tiles, aluminium, metal, lacquered wood, acrylic baths, PVC and many plastics, as well as natural stone where a non-staining sealant is required.

For plastics such as PMMA (Plexi® glass) and polycarbonate (Makrolon® or Lexan®), stress loaded bonding can lead to stress cracking and crazing within the substrate. Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is not recommended for these stress loaded plastic applications. Adhesion is not suitable on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, or copper and copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. A preliminary adhesion and compatibility test is recommended on every job, particularly on unknown coatings, powder coated metals, painted surfaces, sealed timber, or unusual plastics.

Surface Preparation

For reliable sealing and strong adhesive bonding, surfaces must be rigid, clean, and free from dust, grease, oil, laitance, loose coatings and any contamination that can interfere with adhesion. Remove failing sealants completely and clean away residues so the new bead is applied only to sound substrate. If surfaces are slightly moist, remove standing water and ensure the area is stable and free from running moisture before application.

On non-porous substrates, clean and degrease using Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser and allow the surface to flash off fully before applying Soudal Fix ALL Flexi. On porous substrates where maximum adhesion is required, prime using Soudal Primer 150 in accordance with the primer guidance, then allow it to dry before sealing or bonding. Where additional surface activation is required on certain non-porous or difficult surfaces, prepare using Soudal Surface Activator. Always test the full system, including any primer or activator, for adhesion and visual compatibility before starting the main application.

If neat joint edges are required, apply masking tape to both sides of the joint before gunning, then remove the tape immediately after tooling while the sealant is still fresh. Ensure masking tape does not pull the bead or smear the joint edge as it is removed.

Application Method (As A Sealant)

Apply Soudal Fix ALL Flexi using the Soudal 600ml Manual Foil Cartridge Gun. Prepare the foil pack in accordance with the gun instructions, fit the nozzle, and cut it to suit the intended bead size. Extrude a continuous bead into the joint, keeping steady pressure so the joint is filled evenly without voids or air inclusions. Work methodically and maintain a consistent bead profile, particularly around corners, junctions, and changes in substrate type where movement and stress can be higher.

Tool the joint before skin formation begins, which is typically around 10 minutes depending on temperature, humidity, bead size and airflow. Use a spatula and a soapy solution to achieve a smooth, compacted finish. Only wet the tooling implement, not the joint edges. Avoid allowing soapy solution to contact the adhesion surfaces, because this can cause loss of adhesion. Do not apply soapy solution in full sunlight where it can dry too quickly and reduce finishing quality. Maintain ventilation during curing, particularly in internal spaces, to support even cure development.

Application Method (As An Adhesive)

For bonding, apply Soudal Fix ALL Flexi with the Soudal 600ml Manual Foil Cartridge Gun in beads or dots to one of the substrates. Apply additional beads to edges and to edges and corners of panels to support stability and reduce peel stress at the perimeter. Present the parts together before skin formation begins, then press firmly to achieve full contact and proper wet out. The applied pressure, rather than the time spent pressing, determines the ultimate strength and quality of the bond.

Where necessary, batten down with a rubber hammer to seat the materials evenly and support the assembly until initial grab develops. Provide temporary support for heavy or awkward components where movement could occur before curing has progressed sufficiently. Keep the bonded area well ventilated during curing and avoid disturbing the assembly until the adhesive has developed adequate strength for the service conditions.

Joint Dimensions

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is intended for joints with a minimum width of 5mm, a maximum width of 30mm, and a minimum depth of 5mm. For general sealing work, the recommended relationship is joint width equals 2 times joint depth. Correct joint design is critical for movement accommodation and long-term performance, particularly on external joints exposed to thermal cycling and weathering.

Where joint depth is excessive, use an appropriate backer rod to control depth and support correct bead geometry. Avoid three point adhesion, as this can restrict movement and increase stress within the sealant bead. Ensure the backer rod is clean and correctly sized so the sealant can be tooled to a smooth, slightly concave profile with good edge contact.

Coverage

Coverage depends on bead size and joint geometry, as well as substrate texture and application technique. For reliable estimating on sealing work, use the Platinum Chemicals online estimate calculator to calculate tubes required based on joint width and depth.

Allow extra material for irregular substrates, deeper repairs, wider joints, and any wastage during nozzle changes, tooling and making good. For adhesive bonding, coverage will vary depending on whether beads or dots are applied, the bead diameter used, and the surface flatness of the substrates being joined.

Curing Time

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi cures by moisture curing. Skin formation is typically around 10 minutes, with curing progressing at approximately 2 to 3mm per 24 hours depending on bead thickness, temperature, humidity and airflow. Deeper beads require more time to cure through, so allow sufficient curing time before exposing joints to heavy cleaning, load, or weather conditions that could stress the sealant line.

Ventilation supports cure development, particularly in enclosed interior areas. Lower temperatures and reduced humidity can slow curing, while warm, well ventilated environments generally support faster progress. Where overpainting is planned, allow appropriate cure time and carry out a compatibility test with the specific water based paint system being used.

Cleaning

Clean excess sealant and smears immediately after application, before curing begins. Use Soudal Swipex Wipes for fresh product removal from tools and non-porous surfaces. Avoid spreading sealant across porous surfaces, and remove contamination promptly to keep the finish tidy and professional.

Once cured, Soudal Fix ALL Flexi can only be removed mechanically. Where additional help is required for cured residues, use Soudal Sealant Remover Spray as an aid, then remove softened material carefully without damaging sensitive substrates. Always test cleaning products on a small hidden area first, particularly on plastics, painted finishes and decorative coatings.

Limitations

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is not suitable for use on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, or copper and copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. It is not recommended for stress loaded bonding on PMMA (Plexi® glass) or polycarbonate, because stress cracking and crazing can occur in these substrates. It is not suitable as a glazing sealant. Use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN for glazing and building joints where a silicone glazing sealant is required. Do not use on polycarbonate. Use Silirub PC.

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is not suitable for bonding aquariums. Use Silirub AQ. Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible, as long-term immersion conditions fall outside typical service limitations for this product type. Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticiser releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene and butyl can cause discolouration and loss of adhesion. For EPDM applications, use Silirub EPDM.

Other Information

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi may be overpainted with water based paints, but a compatibility test is essential due to the wide variety of paints and varnishes available. Some colour change can occur in conditions with a total absence of UV, and discolouration can occur under the influence of chemicals, high temperatures and UV radiation. These effects are generally aesthetic rather than structural, but they should be considered where colour consistency is critical.

When finishing with soapy solution, keep it away from adhesion surfaces to avoid adhesion loss, and only dip the finishing tool rather than wetting the joint edges. When different reactive joint sealants are used in the same area, ensure the first sealant is completely hardened before applying the next product. Take care not to spill sealant onto adjacent visible surfaces during application. Masking tape placed beside the joint helps maintain clean lines and reduces clean up time.

Soudal Fix ALL Flexi supports low emitting building requirements and conforms to LEED low emitting materials expectations for adhesives and sealants under SCAQMD rule 1168 and USGBC LEED 2009 Credit 4.1 concerning VOC content. For best long-term results, apply within the stated application temperature range of +5°C to +35°C, and note that cured temperature resistance is typically -40°C to +90°C.

Q) What is Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack and how is it different from a standard cartridge?

A) Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack is the same SMX Hybrid Polymer, neutral curing, permanently elastic adhesive sealant as the cartridge version, but supplied in a 600ml foil pack format. The main difference is handling and waste. Foil packs typically leave far less residual product behind, with up to 95% less wastage compared with rigid cartridges, so more of what you buy ends up in the joint. The foil pack also reduces packaging bulk and can be quicker to dispose of on site. Performance wise it still bonds, seals and fills on most construction materials, remains suitable for natural stone, and includes XS1 fungicides for mould resistance in humid areas.

Q) What are the most common uses for Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Packs?

A) It is used for bonding, sealing and filling across everyday building and maintenance work, especially where long runs or repeated application make the 600ml foil format worthwhile. Common uses include sanitary sealing in bathrooms and kitchens, perimeter sealing around frames and trims, sealing service penetrations, filling gaps in refurbishment work, and elastic bonding of panels, trims and fittings. Because it remains permanently elastic, it is useful where vibration and thermal movement are expected. It also suits exterior joints and remedial repairs because it can be applied to many slightly damp or humid surfaces. If you need durable joints on natural stone without staining risk, this foil pack format is a practical option.

Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack be used as both an adhesive and a sealant?

A) Yes. Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack is designed to work as a flexible sealant and as an adhesive sealant, so you can seal a joint and also bond components using the same product. As a sealant, you gun a continuous bead, compact it against both sides, then tool it to a neat profile. As an adhesive, you apply beads or dots to one substrate, bring parts together before skinning, then press firmly to wet out the bond line. For heavy items and stress loaded bonds, temporary support is still sensible until curing progresses through the bead. The foil pack format is especially useful where longer continuous runs reduce stop start waste.

Q) What are the main advantages of using the 600ml foil pack format on site?

A) The main advantages are reduced waste, cleaner handling and longer continuous application. With up to 95% less wastage compared with traditional cartridges, more usable Soudal Fix ALL Flexi ends up in the joint rather than trapped in rigid packaging. Foil packs are also lighter and take up less space in disposal, which helps when you are working through multiple packs on a job. The 600ml volume is practical for longer joint runs, so you spend less time swapping cartridges and less time dealing with nozzle purging. If you use a compatible 600ml gun and keep pressure consistent, foil packs can also support a smoother bead on repetitive work.

Q) Which materials does Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack adhere to without primer?

A) In many typical conditions it offers strong primerless adhesion on most common construction materials, across porous and non porous surfaces. That includes masonry, concrete, brick, ceramic tiles, many metals, aluminium, lacquered wood, PVC, acrylic sanitaryware and a wide range of stable building plastics. It is also suitable for natural stone, which is a key benefit where staining is a concern. Primerless does not mean prep free. Dust, oil, soap film, release agents, old sealant residues and loose coatings can all reduce adhesion and cause edge lift. Where porous edges are weak, dusty or very absorbent, using Soudal Primer 150 can improve consistency and reduce the risk of surface failure.

Q) Is Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack suitable for natural stone like marble and limestone?

A) Yes. Soudal Fix ALL Flexi is non staining and suitable for natural stone, including porous stones such as marble and limestone where many sealants can cause darkening at the edges. This makes it a good choice for stone thresholds, splashbacks, vanity tops and decorative cladding joints where appearance matters. To protect the finish, mask edges, gun a controlled bead, tool neatly and remove any squeeze out immediately. Do not flood the surface with soapy solution during tooling, because residues can smear and mark porous stone. Although it is formulated for stone safety, stones vary by porosity and surface treatment, so a small compatibility test on an offcut or hidden area is still a sensible step on high value installations.

Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack be used in bathrooms and kitchens to resist mould?

A) Yes. It contains XS1 fungicides, giving strong mould resistance in humid environments such as bathrooms, kitchens and showers. This helps joints stay cleaner looking for longer around baths, basins, shower trays, splashbacks and tiled junctions. Mould resistance is not magic, though. If joints are constantly wet, poorly ventilated, or coated with soap residues, staining can still develop on the surface over time. Preparation makes a big difference. Remove old sealant fully, clean joint edges thoroughly, then apply and tool neatly so there are no voids where water can sit. Allow adequate curing before heavy water exposure and avoid aggressive cleaning too early, so the seal develops full durability.

Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack be applied to wet or slightly damp surfaces?

A) It can be applied to many wet or slightly damp surfaces, which is one of its practical advantages on refurbishment and external work. The important detail is that surfaces should be stable and not carrying visible standing water. If water is beading, running or pooling, wipe it off, improve drainage where possible and allow the area to settle before sealing. Damp dust, algae and greasy residues are common failure points because they prevent proper wetting out of the substrate, so clean first, then apply. Slightly damp does not remove the need for correct joint design and backing, and it does not remove the need to protect a fresh bead from immediate wash off. For best results, keep airflow moving so curing can develop evenly.

Q) How much movement can Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack accommodate once cured?

A) It is designed for flexible joints and offers a maximum allowed joint movement of ±20% when the joint is correctly designed and prepared. This allows the seal to stretch and recover as building materials expand and contract through temperature changes, vibration and minor settlement. Correct geometry is critical. Aim for consistent joint dimensions, avoid thin feather edges, and control depth with a suitable backer rod to prevent three sided adhesion, which can overstress the bead. The cured material is firm enough to hold a clean joint line but still elastic, so it works well for connection joints that need ongoing flexibility rather than a rigid filler that cracks over time.

Q) What are the typical skinning and curing times for Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) Under typical conditions it forms a skin in around 10 minutes, giving a workable window for tooling and finishing. Curing then progresses at approximately 2 to 3mm per 24 hours, so deeper beads take longer to cure through. Temperature, humidity, airflow and bead thickness all influence real cure time. Cooler conditions and limited ventilation slow the cure, while good airflow usually helps. Avoid loading bonded items or stressing sealed joints until curing has developed through the depth of the bead, especially in bathrooms and kitchens where early water exposure is common. If you plan to paint it, allow full curing first so paint does not trap moisture and cause cracking.

Q) What is the best way to prepare surfaces before using Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) Prepare for a clean, stable bond line. Remove dust, grease, soap residues, release agents, loose paint and all old sealant residues, because even a thin film can act as a bond breaker. On non porous surfaces, clean and degrease using Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser, then allow it to flash off fully before applying product. On porous or friable edges, remove weak material and consider priming with Soudal Primer 150 where consistency and durability matter, particularly on exterior joints. If the joint is deep, fit a PE backer rod to control depth and prevent three sided adhesion. Mask edges if a crisp finish is needed and keep the area dry from standing water before application.

Q) When should I use Soudal Primer 150 with Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) Use Soudal Primer 150 when porous substrates are dusty, chalky, highly absorbent or structurally inconsistent, because those surfaces can cause adhesion to fail within the surface layer rather than in the sealant. Primer 150 helps stabilise and unify the bonding face so Soudal Fix ALL Flexi can develop reliable adhesion. It is particularly useful on weak masonry, sandy render, crumbly plaster edges and weathered concrete. Apply primer neatly only to the joint faces, allow it to dry as instructed, then seal or bond. Primer is not a shortcut for poor cleaning, so remove contamination first. On sound, clean substrates you may not need primer, but on critical exterior detailing it improves consistency.

Q) Which gun should I use for Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Packs and why does it matter?

A) Use a compatible 600ml foil pack gun for best results, such as the Soudal 600ml Manual Foil Cartridge Gun. The gun matters because foil packs rely on correct pressure and proper seating to extrude smoothly without bursting the pack or introducing inconsistent flow. A suitable gun supports steady extrusion, which helps create a consistent bead and reduces air inclusions. It also makes longer runs easier, which is one of the main reasons people choose the foil format. Fit the pack correctly, attach the nozzle, cut it to suit the joint width, and maintain steady pressure while gunning. If the gun is worn or poorly matched, you can get pulsing flow and uneven bead shape.

Q) How do I apply Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack as a sealant for the neatest finish?

A) Mask the joint edges if appearance matters, then gun a continuous bead with steady pressure so the sealant contacts both sides without voids. Tool before skinning, compacting the bead against the joint faces and shaping it to a smooth profile that sheds water and resists dirt pick up. If you use a soapy finishing solution, keep it away from the joint edges and only wet the tool, because contamination on the adhesion surfaces can cause loss of adhesion. Remove tape immediately after tooling while the bead is still fresh. Avoid overworking the surface, as excessive tooling can drag the bead and create thin edges. On porous materials, keep clean up controlled so you do not smear residue into the surface texture.

Q) How do I apply Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack as an adhesive without parts slipping?

A) Apply beads or dots onto one substrate, then bring parts together before the product skins and press firmly to wet out the bond line. For panels, apply a continuous bead near edges and corners, plus additional beads across the field to reduce drumming and support uniform contact. The pressure you apply during assembly matters more than how long you hold it, so bed the item down properly and check alignment immediately. For heavier items, vertical work, or anything that could move due to vibration, add temporary support until curing progresses sufficiently. Avoid applying excessively thick beads that prevent proper seating, because thick sections cure more slowly and can allow movement before full strength develops.

Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack be painted over after curing?

A) Yes, it can be painted with many water based paint systems once cured, which is useful where you want a sealed joint to blend into surrounding décor. Paint only after curing, not while the sealant is still curing, because paint can trap moisture and cause delayed curing, cracking or poor finish. Allow curing time that matches bead thickness and site conditions, then do a small compatibility test with the actual paint you plan to use. The paint film needs to remain elastic enough to move with the joint, otherwise it can split even if the sealant underneath stays intact. For best results, tool the bead smoothly, keep edges clean, and avoid contaminating the surface with soapy solution or cleaners before painting.

Q) How do I calculate coverage from a 600ml foil pack?

A) Coverage depends on joint width and depth, so the most reliable method is volume based estimating rather than guessing by metres. Use the Platinum Chemicals sealant estimate calculator and enter your joint dimensions to get a practical metres per pack figure, then add a margin for corners, start stops and tooling losses. Foil packs often deliver better real world yield because they leave less product trapped in packaging, but joint geometry still controls consumption. Wider and deeper joints use significantly more material, and rough substrates can increase usage because you may need a larger bead to maintain contact and proper tooling. For adhesive bonding, coverage varies with bead diameter and spacing, so a small trial run is the quickest way to confirm consumption.

Q) What cleaning methods work best for Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) Clean up immediately for the easiest result. While uncured, wipe away smears and excess product from tools and non porous surfaces using Soudal Swipex Wipes. Keep wipes clean and change them often so you do not spread residue. On porous substrates and natural stone, avoid aggressive rubbing because you can push residue into the surface texture. Once cured, Soudal Fix ALL Flexi generally needs mechanical removal. For residue removal support, use Soudal Sealant Remover Spray according to instructions, then remove softened residue carefully. Always test cleaners and removers on a hidden area first, especially on coated metals, painted surfaces, plastics and decorative stone finishes, because substrate damage often comes from abrasion rather than the sealant itself.

Q) What are the main limitations of Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) It is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper, or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. It is not a glazing sealant, so for glazing and high movement weather sealing use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN as appropriate. It is not suitable for polycarbonate, use Silirub PC, and it is not suitable for aquarium bonding, use Silirub AQ. Avoid contact with plasticiser releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene and butyl because this can cause discolouration and loss of adhesion. Where EPDM sealing or bonding is required, use Silirub EPDM. It is also not intended for continuous water immersion, so do not specify it for permanently submerged joints.

Q) Is Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack suitable for exterior work and UV exposure?

A) Yes. It is designed for internal and external use and offers excellent UV resistance and ageing stability, so it performs well on exposed joints where many cheaper products harden and crack over time. It is also useful outdoors because it can be applied in changeable weather conditions and onto many slightly damp surfaces, which suits repairs and refurbishment. However, good practice still matters. Do not seal over unstable edges or active leaks, and protect the fresh bead from immediate wash off before skinning. Correct joint design and backing help it cope with movement up to ±20% without edge tearing. If the joint is a true glazing perimeter where silicone performance is required, select Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN instead.

Q) What tips help you get the most benefit from foil packs and avoid waste?

A) Use a proper 600ml gun such as the Soudal 600ml Manual Foil Cartridge Gun, fit the foil pack correctly, and keep pressure steady to avoid pulsing and air pockets. Cut the nozzle to the smallest size that still fills and compacts the joint properly, because oversized nozzles increase consumption and make tooling messier. Plan runs so you can apply long continuous beads, which is where foil packs shine. Keep Soudal Swipex Wipes to hand and clean as you go, because cured material is harder to remove. For porous, dusty substrates, prime with Soudal Primer 150 where needed so you do not waste product on a weak surface that later fails. Store unused packs correctly and do not leave an opened nozzle exposed to skinning.

Q) What standards and certificates apply to Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack?

A) Soudal Fix ALL Flexi Foil Pack is aligned with several specifications that matter on professional projects. It is EMICODE EC1 Plus very low emission, which supports improved indoor air quality in occupied buildings and refurbishment settings. It also aligns with LEED low emitting materials expectations for adhesives and sealants under SCAQMD Rule 1168 and USGBC LEED 2009 Credit 4.1 criteria. For natural stone work it has been assessed to ISO 16938 1 for staining behaviour, which is particularly relevant on marble and limestone. It also carries an ISEGA declaration of compliance for foodstuffs related areas, which can be useful for kitchen adjacent applications where hygiene considerations are part of the brief.
