Platinum Chemicals offer a specialist product range for the fire resistant filling of gaps.
Fire rated expanding foam can be used as an efficient seal against smoke and gas, providing up to 240 minutes fire rating. Typically a B1 Rated Fire Foam will achieve this.
B2 Rated Fire Foams will achieve a Fire Rating of between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the joint configuration
As well as being useful due to its excellent filling characteristics, fire rated foam has high thermal properties and provides acoustic insulation. It does not suffer from shrinkage can also be painted over.
