Rising Damp

Rising damp occurs when water from the ground rises up through the porous materials in a building, such as brickwork, masonry, or mortar. Penetrating Damp

Penetrating damp is the result of water seeping through building components, such as walls or roofs, due to defects or deteriorated materials. Renovation plaster is specifically designed for use on damp walls. It contains a water repellent agent to prevent moisture from penetrating the surface, as well as an anti-salt additive to prevent the formation of unsightly salt deposits on the surface. It is also formulated with high-strength binders for added durability. Renovation plaster can be used on both new and historic buildings and can be finished with damp-proofing paints for a seamless look.

Finish plaster is used as the final coats when renovating a damp wall. It contains similar water repellent and anti-salt additives as the renovation plaster, but also includes a flexible polymer to ensure a smooth, crack-free finish.
