IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR CUSTOMERS IN NORTHERN IRELAND

From 01/01/2021, we have temporarily suspended all deliveries to Northern Ireland until further notice while our team look into the necessary adjustments required to ensure our service complies with new Government Legislation.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

'CLICK & COLLECT' UPDATE

Following the latest Government Guidelines, as of 13/01/2020 the Click & Collect option at Checkout is temporarily unavailable until further notice.

We will keep our customers informed of any changes during this time.

 

 

ORDERING & DELIVERY SERVICE

During the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, we aim maintain our usual dispatch times (same day despatch on orders placed before 2:30pm), however, delivery times will be dependent on our couriers.

We are happy to deliver to a site address. Please provide a contact telephone number for the courier, this is purely for delivery purposes only.

If an item ordered is out of stock we will automatically place these items on backorder for delivery as soon as possible at a later date. Alternatively, we can refund you in full.

All orders will be despatched on a 'Next Day Delivery Service', however this is not a 'Guaranteed' Next Day Delivery.

As many parts of the UK move into Tier 4 Restricted areas, delays are very likely to occur with deliveries as the volume of freight with most, if not all couriers will increase significantly. Please be understanding with this in mind.

RECEIVING YOUR GOODS

In order to protect the safety of both consignees and delivery drivers, both our main Couriers will temporarily be adopting the NO CONTACT DELIVERY PRACTICE.

Consignees will not be required to personally sign the ePOD device or hard copy document, but will be required to provide their name verbally to the delivery driver whereby the driver will include this on the delivery record.

Should a customer refuse to verbally provide their name, the consignment will not be left with them but fall under the ‘refused goods’ process.

MINIMUM ORDER VALUE FOR FREE DELIVERY

Free Delivery applies to all orders Over £50 ex VAT. 

Orders below £50 ex VAT will incur a small carriage charge of £3.75 ex VAT.

Excess charges will be incurred where applicable.

'ALWAYS FREE DELIVERY' ITEMS

Some items in our Online Store are marked as 'Always Free Delivery'.

This means that no matter how much or how little of this particular item is ordered, even if the order is under the £50 ex VAT Minimum Order Value, if this item is in your basket your order will always automatically qualify for FREE Delivery!

EXCESS DELIVERY CHARGE ITEMS

A very small number of our items require an Excess Delivery Charge if the order does not meet our £50 ex VAT Minimum Order Value.

Some items which are 1.6 metres in length or more, and are of a 'lower' value will incur an additional surcharge of £8.00 + VAT.

However, orders which include these items and are over the £50 ex VAT Minimum Order Value will still qualify for Free Delivery.

RETURNS & DAMAGES

If for any reason you wish to return your goods please contact us firstly on info@platinumchemicals.co.uk

Platinum Chemicals will only accept and refund the return of goods in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of delivery. We will not accept the return of goods / containers which have been opened or part-used.

We will NOT accept the part-returns of any 'Kit' product. Kits MUST be returned in full.

If you are returning rolls of Damp Proofing / Waterproofing Membrane, they MUST be returned to us FULLY WRAPPED in the Woven Polypropylene Packaging in which they are supplied.

You may arrange for the goods to be returned using your own courier and ensuring the items are adequately insured while in transit to us.

Alternatively, please contact us for a quote to arrange a 'Third Party Collection' where we will use our own couriers to collect the goods for return. We will only charge at cost and payment must be made in full to us prior to collection.

In the unlikely event your Goods are received damaged, the delivery MUST be signed as 'Damaged'. We should then be notified of the damages immediately so we can investigate further with our courier.

Should any Goods be missing from an order, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving delivery.

If you receive incorrect Goods, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a Third Party Collection at our own cost.
