IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR CUSTOMERS IN NORTHERN IRELAND

From 01/01/2021, we have temporarily suspended all deliveries to Northern Ireland until further notice while our team look into the necessary adjustments required to ensure our service complies with new Government Legislation.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. 

 

ORDERING & DELIVERY SERVICE

Orders placed before 2:30pm Monday - Friday are likely to be despatched that same day providing the goods are in stock. Orders placed after 2:30pm will be despatched the following working day.

We are happy to deliver to a site address. Please provide a contact telephone number for the courier, this is purely for delivery purposes only.

If an item ordered is out of stock we will automatically place these items on backorder for delivery as soon as possible at a later date. Alternatively, we can refund you in full.

All orders will be despatched on a 'Next Day Delivery Service', however this is not a 'Guaranteed' Next Day Delivery.

We will continue to keep customers informed during this time.

SHIPPING AREAS - WHERE WE DELIVER TO

We currently ship to anywhere in Mainland UK including England, Wales, Scotland (including Scottish Highlands).

We also ship to the Isle of Wight and the Scottish Islands (including Orkney, Shetland, Isle of Skye and Outer Hebrides). There will however be additional delivery costs to these areas. Please refer to the 'Rates' table on the Products Page for more details.

For deliveries to the Isle of Man, please contact us for more details. 

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to deliver to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Scilly.

 

MINIMUM ORDER VALUE FOR FREE DELIVERY - MAINLAND UK ONLY

Free Delivery applies to all orders Over £100 ex VAT (Mainland UK Only). 

Orders below £100 ex VAT will incur a small carriage charge, based on weight:

  • Orders With Goods Weighing Under 4kg:    £4.50 (ex VAT)

  • Orders With Goods Weighing Between 4-20kg:    £5.50 (ex VAT)

  • Orders With Goods Weighing Over 20kg:    £6.95 (ex VAT)

  • Orders over £100 (ex VAT), regardless of Weight:    FREE DELIVERY

 

SHIPPING COSTS TO ISLE OF WIGHT & SCOTTISH ISLANDS

As stated above, we can deliver to Isle of Man and Scottish Islands, however additional Carriage Charges will apply. These are shown below.

 

Isle of Wight

  • Orders UNDER £100 ex VAT - £21.50 + VAT Delivery

  • Orders of £100 ex VAT and OVER - £15.00 + VAT Delivery

 

Scottish Islands

  • Orders UNDER £100 ex VAT - £31.50 + VAT Delivery

  • Orders of £100 ex VAT and OVER - £25.00 + VAT Delivery

  

'ALWAYS FREE DELIVERY' ITEMS - MAINLAND UK CUSTOMERS ONLY

Some items in our Online Store are marked as 'Always Free Delivery'.

This means that no matter how much or how little of this particular item is ordered, even if the order is under the £100 ex VAT Minimum Order Value, if this item is in your basket your order will always automatically qualify for FREE Delivery!*

*Note: Does not apply to orders which include Renovating Plaster or High Impact Finish Plaster.

 

EXCESS DELIVERY CHARGE ITEMS

A very small number of our items require an Excess Delivery Charge if the order does not meet our £100 ex VAT Minimum Order Value.

Some items which are 1.6 metres in length or more, and are of a 'lower' value will incur an additional surcharge of £6.50 + VAT.

However, orders which include these items and are over the £100 ex VAT Minimum Order Value will still qualify for Free Delivery (Mainland UK Customers Only).

 

RENOVATING PLASTER & FINISH PLASTER DELIVERY CHARGES

Orders which include either Wykamol Renovation Plaster or Wykamol High Impact Finish Plaster will incur additional Carriage charges, regardless of the order value.

For each bag of either product purchased for delivery, there will be an additional £5.00 + VAT Carriage per Bag above any other carriage cost which may also be implemented. This however 'caps' after the 10th Bag purchased meaning the maximum carriage cost for these products is £50 + VAT

These additional carriage charges do not apply for customers who wish to collect or arrange their own means of transportation.

Note: We only deliver the above products to UK Mainland addresses. 

 

RETURNS & DAMAGES

If for any reason you wish to return your goods please contact us firstly on info@platinumchemicals.co.uk

Platinum Chemicals will only accept and refund the return of goods in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of delivery. We will not accept the return of goods / containers which have been opened or part-used.

We will NOT accept the part-returns of any 'Kit' product. Kits MUST be returned in full.

If you are returning rolls of Damp Proofing / Waterproofing Membrane, they MUST be returned to us FULLY WRAPPED in the Woven Polypropylene Packaging in which they are supplied.

You may arrange for the goods to be returned using your own courier and ensuring the items are adequately insured while in transit to us.

Alternatively, please contact us for a quote to arrange a 'Third Party Collection' where we will use our own couriers to collect the goods for return. We will only charge at cost and payment must be made in full to us prior to collection.

In the unlikely event your Goods are received damaged, the delivery MUST be signed as 'Damaged'. We should then be notified of the damages immediately so we can investigate further with our courier.

Should any Goods be missing from an order, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving delivery.

If you receive incorrect Goods, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a Third Party Collection at our own cost.

All returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
