Soudal | Polyurethane Sealant
Soudaflex 33SL is a High Quality, Self Levelling Polyurethane Based Floor Sealant.
Soudaflex 33SL has been developed especially for concrete floor applications and has excellent resistance to many fuels and other chemicals.
Soudaflex 33SL is for use in flooring expansion joints where high movement is expected. It is self levelling up to a maximum slope of 3%.
Soudaflex 33SL conforms to DIN EN 14187-4, DIN EN 14187-5 and DIN EN 14187-6.
Supplied in 600ml Foil Pack Cartridges in Concrete Grey colour.

Soudaflex 33SL is a High Quality Self Levelling Polyurethane Based Floor Sealant.
Soudaflex 33SL has very good adhesion on many materials and has excellent resistance to many fuels and other chemicals.
Soudaflex 33SL was developed especially for concrete floor applications. There is no bubble formation within the sealant as a result of high temperatures or humidity.
Soudaflex 33SL is non-staining on Natural Stone and Concrete.
Self Levelling Polyurethane Floor Sealant
Usable up to Maximum Slope of 3%
Conforms to DIN EN 14187-4 (Determination of the Change in Mass and Volume After Immersion in Test Fuels and Liquid Chemicals)
Conforms to DIN EN 14187-5 (Determination of the Resistance to Hydrolysis)
Conforms to DIN EN 14187-6 (Determination of the Adhesion/cohesion Properties After Immersion in Test Fuels and Liquid Chemicals)
Excellent Chemical Resistance: Resistant to splash and spillage contact. Can withstand long term intense contact-immersion (up to 1 week) in combination with Soudal Primer 100.
Good Weather and UV Resistance.
Permanently Elastic After Curing
Very good Adhesion on many Materials
No Bubble Formation within sealant (in High Temperature and Humidity)
Non Staining on Porous Surfaces such as Marble, Granite and other Natural Stones
Supplied in 600ml Environmentally Friendly Foil-Pack Cartridges
Up to 95% LESS Wastage when using Foil Cartridges, easily disposable.
Sealing of shrinking joints in concrete floors.
Sealing of floor expansion joints where high movement is expected.
All usual horizontal building, connection, expansion and dilatation joints.
Excellent for sealing of joints in environments where fuel and oil contact occurs, such as Garages.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-4: Change in mass and volume following storage in chemical liquids.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-5: Resistance to hydrolysis.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-6: Adhesion / cohesion properties following storage in chemical liquids.
Soudal Technical Bulletin No. 2017-WD0101 dd. April 6, 2017 regarding Chemical Resistance.
All surfaces should be clean, dry, free of dust and grease.
Apply Soudal Primer 100 on porous substrates. Always use Primer 100 on natural stone, no primer required on non-porous substrates. All smooth surfaces can be treated with Soudal Surface Activator.
There is no adhesion on glass, PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous substrates.
We recommend a preliminary compatibility test.
Application Method: Apply using the Soudal Manual Foil Pack Applicator. Use masking tape if necessary. Apply Soudaflex 33SL evenly without air inclusions into the joint. Remove masking tape before skin formation.
Cleaning: Clean with white spirit or Surface Cleaner immediately after use.
Repair: With the same material
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.
Minimum Width for Joints: 10 mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 30 mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 10 mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Depth = 0.8 x Joint Width.
Soudaflex 33SL is self-levelling and therefore cannot be used for vertical joints.
When painted with oxidative drying paints disturbances in the drying of the paint may occur (we recommend to do a compatibility test before application).
Soudaflex 33SL has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.
Chemical resistance strongly depends on concentration, temperature and exposure time. Some chemicals may lead to a change in volume, mechanical properties or the visual aspect of the sealant.
It is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.
Do not apply or allow to cure in the presence of uncured silicone sealants, alcohol - or other solvent cleaners.
When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
