Soudal | Mitre Kit

The Soudal Mitre Kit consists of a High Viscosity, Super Fast Curing, Cyanoacrylate Based Adhesive (Superglue) with an Aerosol Activator.

The Soudal Mitre Kit is particularly useful for production lines and uPVC Window Trim. Activator reduces blooming and odour. Easy to use and fast acting, curing will occur almost instantly.

Kit Contents:

  • 1 x Superglue Activator - 200ml Aerosol

  • 1 x Superglue HV (High Viscosity) Adhesive - 50gm Bottle

Application

Typical Applications:

The Mitre Kit can be used in the furniture, timber, kitchen and plastics industries where its instant bonding properties dramatically reduce assembly times for mitre joints when compared to conventional wood adhesives.

The Mitre Kit is also suitable for instant bonding of MDF, rubber, PVCu, metals and most plastics.

Application Method:

Spray a small quantity of Activator onto one substrate only. Allow solvent to evaporate.

Apply Cyanoacrylate Adhesive (Superglue) to the other substrate and bring together. Curing will occur almost instantly

Remarks:

Take precautions not to spray Activator near unused Cyanoacrylate adhesive as this will cure off.

  • Polycarbonate / Polycarbonate: 10-40 Seconds

  • Grit Blasted Steel: >15 N/mm²

  • Etched Aluminium: >11 N/mm²

  • Nitrile Rubber: >10 N/mm²

  • Polycarbonate: >12 N/mm²

Tensile Strength:

Soudal Superglue HV is A High Viscosity, Super Fast Curing, Cyanoacrylate Based Adhesive for use on non-porous surfaces.

Application

Typical Applications:

Soudal Superglue HV is used for Fast Bonding of non porous surfaces, such as rubber, metals, plastics, glass etc. Adhesion can be accelerated by using a Superglue Activator Spray.

Surface Preparation:

The surfaces to be glued should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.

Materials should be stored in a warm environment prior to bonding to avoid chilling of the glue line, which leads to extended setting times.

Where possible, ensure working environment has a relative humidity of 50%+.

Application Method:

Apply adhesive to one surface only. Press surfaces together and hold for at least 10 seconds. Pressing times may be longer depending on substrates being glued together.

Cure speed is rapid so exercise care when aligning.

Curing will occur almost instantly however if used with an Activator Spray (see our Mitre Kit).

Remarks:

  • Avoid contact with skin.
