Extreme Initial Grab For Heavy Duty Fixing
Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is engineered for demanding bonding work where exceptionally strong early grab is critical to the speed and success of the installation. In many construction, fit-out and heavy duty fixing tasks, the challenge is not only achieving a high final bond strength, but holding the material in place quickly enough to avoid slipping, movement or the need for temporary supports. This product has been developed specifically for those situations. It delivers an extremely high initial tack of at least 400kg/m² together with very fast strength build-up, allowing heavy components to be fixed with far greater confidence. That combination helps installers maintain a practical, efficient workflow while still achieving the reliable long term bond performance expected on professional jobs.
Fast Strength On Common Building Materials
Based on advanced SMX Polymer technology, Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is a high quality, neutral, elastic adhesive sealant that offers strong adhesion on nearly all common building materials. It performs well on both porous and non-porous substrates and can also be used where surfaces are slightly damp, which is a major advantage on real sites where ideal dry conditions are not always possible. This makes it particularly well suited to the bonding of panels, profiles, heavy trims, fabricated components and other substantial objects in both the building and metal industries. Once applied and pressed firmly into place, the adhesive activates its powerful grab properties and typically requires little or no additional support, helping reduce labour time and speed up installation across repeated or awkward fixing tasks.
Elastic Cured Bond With Long Term Outdoor Durability
Despite its very high grab and firm cured strength, Fix ALL X-treme Power Express does not harden into a brittle, inflexible mass. It remains elastic after curing, which is important because many bonded assemblies are exposed to vibration, thermal movement and small structural shifts during their service life. This elasticity helps protect the bond line from cracking, edge failure and localised debonding, while the high final strength supports long term durability in demanding environments. The product also offers good weather resistance and good UV resistance, making it suitable for both internal and external use where dependable performance must be maintained over time. For installers, this means the bond is not only fast and strong at the start, but resilient enough to remain reliable as conditions change.
Clean Finishing For Natural Stone And Visible Details
Another key advantage of Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is that it is non-staining on porous surfaces such as marble, granite and other natural stones, which significantly broadens its value for visible architectural applications where appearance matters just as much as strength. This makes it a practical option where conventional adhesives might risk marking the substrate or spoiling the finished detail. It is also paintable with water based systems after curing, helping bonded components blend more effectively into surrounding finishes where a coordinated appearance is required. Combined with its low odour handling and fast manipulability, this makes the product especially attractive for professional users who need immediate hold, strong final performance and a clean, high quality result across a broad range of heavy duty bonding applications.

Product Performance
Fix ALL X-treme Power Express stands out because it has been developed around one of the most valuable practical advantages on site, extremely high immediate grab. Its initial tack of at least 400kg/m² is exceptional and is the main reason it can hold very heavy materials almost straight after firm placement. In real installation terms, this can mean fewer props, less time spent holding components in place, and faster progression through heavy-duty fixing work. The product is hand tight after around 30 minutes, which further reinforces its role as a fast-moving, productivity-focused adhesive for demanding applications.
Its mechanical profile also shows why it performs so well once cured. A Shore A hardness of around 75 ± 5 gives the cured adhesive a firm, durable body suited to carrying heavy loads and resisting deformation in service. At the same time, an elasticity modulus of approximately 2.90N/mm² and elongation at break of around 200% show that the adhesive retains useful elasticity rather than becoming brittle. This is supported by a maximum tension of approximately 3.60N/mm², which reflects the strong final holding power expected from a specialist heavy-duty adhesive sealant. Together, these figures indicate a bond line that is strong, stable and durable, yet still capable of accommodating the minor movement that often occurs in real building assemblies.
With curing at around 2mm/24h, good weather resistance, good UV resistance, and a service temperature range from -40°C to +90°C, Fix ALL X-treme Power Express offers a highly effective combination of immediate grab, rapid usable strength, and dependable long-term performance.

Health & Safety Recommendations
Read the packaging label and Safety Data Sheet before use, and follow normal site hygiene procedures throughout application and curing. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection, avoid prolonged skin contact, and keep the working area well ventilated, particularly in enclosed spaces where airflow is limited. If uncured product comes into contact with skin, wipe it away promptly and wash with soap and water. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Because Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is designed for immediate bonding of very heavy materials, it is important to prepare the work properly before application begins. Make sure panels, trims, or bonded objects can be handled safely, and plan suitable temporary support where the weight, size, or position of the item creates a risk before full cure is achieved. Keep the product away from children, food preparation areas, and finished surfaces that could be damaged by accidental smearing.
Substrate Suitability
Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is a heavy duty SMX Hybrid Polymer adhesive sealant developed for high strength bonding on a wide range of common construction materials. It has good adhesion on usual building substrates, lacquered wood, stainless steel, AlMgSi1, electrolytic galvanised steel, AlCuMg1, hot dip galvanised steel, AlMg3, steel ST1403, polystyrene, PVC, polyamide, and fibreglass reinforced epoxy. This makes it especially suitable for demanding bonding applications in the building and metal industries where strong initial grab and fast strength build-up are essential.
It is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. Bonding plastics such as PMMA, for example Plexi® glass, or polycarbonate, for example Makrolon® or Lexan®, in stress loaded applications can cause stress cracking and crazing, so Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is not recommended in those situations. Because plastics, coatings, and specialist finishes vary between manufacturers, a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test should always be carried out before full use.
Surface Preparation
For reliable bonding performance, the substrate must be rigid, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, release agents, oils, loose coatings, and any contamination that could interfere with adhesion. Although Fix ALL X-treme Power Express offers very strong initial tack, it should not be used to compensate for poor preparation or unstable surfaces. Sound preparation is essential if the product is expected to achieve both its early handling strength and its long term bond durability.
Porous substrates in water loaded applications should be primed with Soudal Primer 150. Non-porous substrates should be prepared with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser, and for optimum adhesion the use of Surface Activator is recommended. Plastics often carry processing aids, mould release agents, or protective films from manufacture and transport, so these must be removed fully before the adhesive is applied. If a substrate has any unusual coating, surface treatment, or factory finish, clean it thoroughly and confirm compatibility with a small site test before starting the main bonding work.
Application Method
Apply Fix ALL X-treme Power Express by means of a caulking gun in beads or dabs on one of the substrates, spacing them at approximately 15cm intervals as a general guide. Always apply adhesive to the edges and corners of panels or bonded components, as this improves support across the full area and helps prevent localised lifting or flexing. Do not apply the glue in a fully closed circumference, keep the adhesive pattern interrupted so curing can develop more evenly and trapped air is avoided.
Once applied, bring the substrate into position and press firmly so the adhesive activates its powerful grab properties. Tamp into place with a rubber hammer if appropriate for the component and substrate, taking care not to damage the visible surface. If necessary, support the bonded materials while the adhesive develops sufficient strength. This is particularly important on larger, heavier, or awkwardly positioned items, even where the initial grab is very high.
If the visible edge of the bead needs dressing, finish with a lightly soapy solution before skinning begins. Skin formation occurs in around 4 minutes under normal conditions, so any finishing should be done immediately and in short, manageable sections. Avoid smudging the visible face of the materials during application, especially on decorative, coated, or sensitive finishes where clean-up is more difficult once the adhesive begins to cure.

Coverage
Coverage depends on bead size, bead spacing, substrate flatness, and the size and weight of the object being bonded. A series of beads or dabs at approximately 15cm centres will naturally cover more area than heavy continuous beads applied over uneven backgrounds. Larger panels, rougher surfaces, and items requiring more edge support will all increase product consumption.
For practical estimating, calculate the number of beads needed per component, then multiply that across the full job and allow a sensible margin for nozzle trimming, edge reinforcement, and site losses. If the product is being used in a seal-and-bond detail rather than purely as an adhesive, allow extra material for finishing and profile control.
Curing Time
Fix ALL X-treme Power Express cures by moisture curing. Under normal conditions it forms a skin in approximately 4 minutes and cures at around 2mm/24h. Actual curing speed depends on adhesive thickness, temperature, humidity, ventilation, and substrate absorbency. Thin adhesive layers on absorbent and porous substrates allow much faster practical strength development than thicker beads on dense, non-absorbent materials.
For bonding on absorbent and porous substrates with a thin adhesive layer, the bond is already hand tight after approximately 30 minutes and can be loaded after around 3 hours. Thicker adhesive layers or non-absorbent substrates extend the curing time. The bond can be fully loaded after 24 to 48 hours, depending on the specific application and site conditions. Do not assume the fastest cure figures apply universally, as larger beads, colder conditions, or less breathable substrates will slow strength build-up.
Cleaning
Clean uncured Fix ALL X-treme Power Express immediately using Soudal Swipex Wipes. Fast clean-up is important because the product skins quickly and has an extremely strong grab, which makes fresh smears more difficult to remove neatly if left too long. Keep the nozzle, gun, and surrounding surfaces clean throughout the work to avoid dragging partially cured adhesive across visible finishes.
Once cured, the product can only be removed mechanically. Mechanical removal should be done carefully, particularly on coated metals, decorative panels, plastics, and other sensitive surfaces where scraping can cause marking or damage. It is always better to protect visible faces before application and clean as the work progresses than to rely on cured removal later.
Limitations
Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. It cannot be used as a glazing sealant, use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN. It is not suitable for bonding aquariums, use Silirub AQ. It must not be used in applications where continuous water immersion is possible, and it is not suitable for sanitary applications.
The product should also be kept away from bitumen, tar, and plasticiser releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, and butyl, as contact can cause discolouration and loss of adhesion. It is not recommended for stress loaded bonding on PMMA or polycarbonate because stress cracking and crazing can occur. It is not suitable for self cleaning glass, use Soudal SMX 506. When using different reactive joint sealants in the same area, the first sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
Other Information
Fix ALL X-treme Power Express may be overpainted, but because paint and varnish formulations vary widely, a compatibility test is recommended before full decoration. Water based paints are generally the preferred option, particularly where finish quality matters. The product has good UV resistance, but discolouration may still occur under extreme conditions, prolonged UV exposure, high temperatures, or aggressive chemical exposure. A total absence of UV is less of a concern for function, but visible appearance can still change over time depending on service conditions.
Once cured, the product remains elastic and durable, with a temperature resistance from -40°C to +90°C, helping it perform in both internal and external environments. For the best results, plan the bead layout before starting, dry-fit the bonded parts where possible, and make sure the installation sequence matches the very fast working profile of the product.
Q) What is Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is a premium one-component adhesive sealant based on advanced SMX Polymer technology, developed for very heavy bonding work where immediate hold and rapid strength build-up are essential. It is designed to grip hard almost straight away, helping reduce the need for props or temporary supports on many demanding jobs. Unlike slower adhesives, it becomes hand tight in around 30 minutes under suitable conditions and continues building to a very strong final bond. Once cured, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express remains elastic rather than brittle, which helps it tolerate minor movement and vibration. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use on a wide range of common construction materials.
Q) What makes Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express different from other grab adhesives?
A) The standout feature of Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is its extremely high initial tack of at least 400kg/m², which is much higher than many standard construction adhesives and sealants. That very strong early grab helps hold heavy materials quickly after placement, which can save time and reduce the amount of temporary fixing needed during installation. It also develops strength very fast, becoming hand tight in around 30 minutes and reaching a much stronger working bond far sooner than slower products. At the same time, it still cures into a permanently elastic adhesive rather than a rigid one, so it combines fast handling, strong final performance and movement tolerance in one professional product.
Q) What is Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express best used for?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is best suited to heavy duty bonding work where the material needs to stay in place quickly and securely without long delays. It is particularly useful for fixing panels, profiles, trims, fabricated components and other substantial items onto suitable building substrates. It is also a strong choice where fast job progression matters, such as fit-out work, refurbishment, repair jobs and demanding installation tasks that cannot wait for a slow adhesive to gain strength. Because the cured bond remains elastic, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express also works well where vibration, thermal movement or small substrate shifts may occur later in service. That makes it practical as well as powerful.
Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express hold very heavy materials straight away?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is specifically developed for the immediate bonding of extremely heavy materials, which is why its initial tack is such a key benefit. With an initial grab of at least 400kg/m², it is capable of holding heavy components very quickly once they are pressed firmly into place. In many situations this can reduce or even remove the need for extra support, although the actual result still depends on the weight, shape, position and substrate involved. Larger or awkwardly placed items may still need sensible temporary support while curing develops. Even so, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is designed to give far more confidence during early fixing than an ordinary adhesive.
Q) Is Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express suitable for interior and exterior use?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is suitable for both interior and exterior applications, which makes it a very versatile option for contractors and installers. Indoors, its low odour handling is an advantage where comfort matters, especially in occupied spaces or enclosed working areas. Outdoors, it offers good weather resistance and good UV resistance, helping it perform reliably in exposed conditions over time. It is also useful on site because it can bond many common materials even when they are slightly damp, which is helpful during external work where perfectly dry conditions are not always realistic. That mix of strong grab, fast cure and weather durability makes it suitable across a broad range of environments.
Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express be used on slightly damp surfaces?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express can be used on many slightly damp or humid surfaces, which is a real advantage on live sites and refurbishment jobs where substrates are not always perfectly dry. That said, slightly damp does not mean wet, dirty or unstable. The surface still needs to be sound, rigid and free from standing water, dust, grease, oils and loose material if the bond is to perform properly. Moisture tolerance helps with practical site use, but good preparation still matters for maximum strength and durability. For the best results, treat Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express as a professional heavy duty adhesive that performs well in imperfect conditions, not as a substitute for sensible surface preparation.
Q) How quickly does Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express build strength?
A) One of the main reasons to choose Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is its rapid strength build-up. Under suitable conditions, particularly on absorbent and porous substrates with a thin adhesive layer, it becomes hand tight after around 30 minutes. In those favourable conditions it can often be loaded after about 3 hours, which is much faster than many conventional adhesive sealants. General curing continues at roughly 2mm/24h, so thicker adhesive beds, dense non-absorbent substrates, lower temperatures or limited airflow will all increase the curing time. The speed advantage is real, but it should always be judged against the actual job conditions. Used correctly, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express can save a significant amount of installation time.
Q) Does Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express stay flexible after curing?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express remains elastic after curing, which is a major advantage for long-term performance. Some heavy duty adhesives cure very hard and rigid, which can make them vulnerable to cracking or edge failure if the bonded materials move differently in service. Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is different because it combines very high early grab with a cured bond that still has useful flexibility. That helps the adhesive cope with thermal expansion, minor structural movement and vibration without becoming brittle. This matters in real-world installations where metal, timber, stone or fabricated parts may shift slightly over time. Strong initial fixing is important, but lasting resilience is what helps the bond stay reliable.
Q) What materials will Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express bond to?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express bonds to nearly all common building materials used in demanding construction and fabrication work. It has good adhesion on usual building substrates, lacquered wood, stainless steel, several galvanised and aluminium grades, polystyrene, PVC, polyamide and fibreglass reinforced epoxy. It is also suitable for bonding porous natural stone such as marble and granite without staining, which broadens its usefulness on high-end visible work. This wide substrate compatibility makes it very practical where mixed materials meet in one installation. Even so, surfaces vary by manufacturer and finish, especially coated metals and plastics, so a small adhesion and compatibility test is always sensible before full application with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express.
Q) What surfaces should not be used with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper, or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. These are known problem surfaces where adhesion or long-term compatibility is unreliable. It is also not recommended for stress-loaded bonding on PMMA, such as Plexi glass, or on polycarbonate, because those plastics can suffer crazing or stress cracking. It must not be used as a glazing sealant, for aquarium bonding, or in applications involving continuous water immersion. Contact with tar, bitumen, EPDM, neoprene and butyl should also be avoided because those materials can cause discolouration and loss of adhesion. Correct product selection is essential for dependable performance.
Q) Is Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express suitable for natural stone?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is suitable for bonding porous natural stone and is described as non-staining on materials such as marble and granite. That is a major advantage for visible architectural work where ordinary adhesives may bleed, migrate or discolour the stone over time. It makes Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express a strong choice for heavy bonding tasks involving premium finishes where appearance matters as much as strength. However, its suitability relates to bonding rather than acting as a dedicated natural stone joint sealant. If the job is specifically about sealing joints in natural stone rather than fixing the stone itself, a specialist non-staining sealant would usually be the better option.
Q) How should surfaces be prepared before using Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Surfaces should be rigid, clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, release agents, loose coatings and other contamination before Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is applied. Good preparation matters because even a very high-tack product will only bond as well as the surface it is applied to. For porous substrates in water-loaded applications, use Soudal Primer 150 where required. For non-porous substrates, clean with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser, and for optimum adhesion the use of Surface Activator is recommended. Plastics need special care because they may carry protective films or processing residues from manufacture. If these are left in place, the bond may appear acceptable at first but fail prematurely in service.
Q) How do you apply Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express properly?
A) Apply Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express with a caulking gun in beads or dabs on one substrate, spacing them at roughly 15cm centres as a general guide. Always include adhesive at edges and corners as well, because these areas need support to reduce flexing and edge lift. Do not run the adhesive in a fully closed perimeter, as an interrupted pattern helps curing and avoids trapped air. Bring the second material into position promptly and press firmly so the adhesive can activate its powerful initial grab. A rubber hammer can be used where appropriate to improve bedding. If the visible edge needs tidying, do this immediately, because Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express skins quickly and becomes harder to finish neatly after only a short time.
Q) How much working time do you get with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express has a short working window, which is one reason it performs so well in fast-paced bonding jobs. It typically forms a surface skin in around 4 minutes under normal conditions, so positioning and any visible edge finishing need to be completed quickly and confidently. This does not leave much time for hesitation, which is why dry-fitting and job planning before application are strongly recommended. Have the components ready, the bead pattern planned and the work sequence clear before you start extrusion. That way, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express can do what it is designed for: secure the bond rapidly rather than sit waiting while the installer decides how to position the parts.
Q) What bead pattern works best with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) A controlled bead or dab pattern usually works best with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express, rather than smearing the product across the entire surface. As a practical guide, apply beads or dabs at around 15cm centres, while always making sure the edges and corners of the component are supported as well. This helps create a balanced bond line, improves contact and reduces the risk of localised lifting or flexing once the item is fixed. Avoid a completely closed perimeter of adhesive, because the pattern should remain interrupted to support more even curing and avoid trapping air. With Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express, thoughtful bead layout is part of getting the best from its exceptional initial tack and fast strength build-up.
Q) How much Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express will I need?
A) The amount needed depends on bead size, bead spacing, substrate flatness and the size and weight of the item being bonded. A flat background with controlled beads will use less adhesive than an uneven surface that requires heavier application to achieve full contact. Larger panels and heavier components also need more product because support at edges and corners is especially important. There is no single coverage figure that fits every job, so the best approach is to estimate from your intended bead pattern and the number of components being fixed. Always allow extra for nozzle trimming, stop-start losses and site variation. With Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express, careful planning of the bead layout helps both performance and ordering accuracy.
Q) Can Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express be painted?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express may be painted once cured, and water-based paints are generally the preferred option. This is useful where the adhesive line is close to visible finishes and needs to blend into surrounding decoration. Even so, paint compatibility can vary widely depending on the system used, so a test area is always recommended before committing to a full decorative finish. Water-based coatings are usually the safest choice, while some other paint types may show slower drying or less predictable results over the cured adhesive. Allow adequate curing before painting, because coating over the product too early can affect the appearance and performance. A test first is the safest route to a professional finish.
Q) How do you clean up Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Clean-up should be done immediately while the product is still fresh. Use Soudal Swipex Wipes to remove uncured Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express from tools, nozzles and surrounding non-porous surfaces. This is particularly important because the adhesive develops skin quickly and has very strong grab, so fresh smears become difficult to remove neatly if left even for a short time. Once cured, the product can only be removed mechanically, which increases the risk of marking decorative surfaces, coated metals or sensitive finishes. For that reason, prevention is much better than cure. Protect visible areas before starting, keep tools clean as you go and wipe away excess immediately to maintain a tidy professional result.
Q) What are the main limitations of Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is a specialist heavy-duty bonding product, but it does have clear limitations. It is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper, bronze or brass. It must not be used as a glazing sealant, for aquarium bonding or anywhere that will be continuously immersed in water. It is also not recommended for stress-loaded bonding on PMMA or polycarbonate, because those plastics can crack or craze. Contact with tar, bitumen, EPDM, neoprene and butyl should be avoided because these can cause discolouration and adhesion loss. It is also not intended for sanitary applications. Choosing the right product for the right job is just as important as choosing a strong one.
Q) Does Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express resist weather and UV?
A) Yes, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express offers good weather resistance and good UV resistance, which makes it suitable for both internal and external bonding work. This helps it maintain long-term durability in outdoor conditions where sunlight, rain and temperature changes can challenge lower-grade products. The cured adhesive also remains elastic, which is important because weather exposure often goes hand in hand with thermal movement and expansion between different materials. That said, like most products, appearance can still change under extreme conditions or after prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals, heat or strong UV over time. In normal building use, though, Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express is designed to provide dependable exterior service and lasting bond integrity.
Q) What are the best practical tips for getting the best results with Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express?
A) The best results come from treating Soudal Fix ALL X-treme Power Express as a fast professional bonding system rather than a casual general adhesive. Dry-fit the parts first, plan the bead pattern in advance and make sure everything is ready before application, because the product skins in around 4 minutes and builds strength rapidly. Keep surfaces clean, rigid and properly prepared, and use Soudal Primer 150, Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser or Surface Activator where required by the substrate. Apply beads or dabs at sensible centres, always including edges and corners, and do not run the adhesive in a closed perimeter. Press firmly, use temporary support where needed and judge cure time by real site conditions rather than assuming every job will cure at the fastest rate.
