High Initial Tack Adhesive For Faster On-Site Bonding

Soudal Fix ALL TurboTack is developed for professional bonding work where immediate holding power and fast job progression are critical. In many installation and fabrication tasks, the challenge is not simply achieving a strong final bond, but securing the material quickly enough to reduce the need for prolonged support, clamping or secondary fixing. Fix ALL TurboTack addresses that requirement by combining extremely high initial tack with fast curing behaviour, allowing bonded components to stabilise far sooner than with many conventional adhesives. This makes it particularly valuable across the building and metal industries, where accurate placement, clean fitting and reduced waiting time can have a direct impact on labour efficiency, sequencing and overall productivity. For users who need fast, dependable hold from the moment of placement, it offers a clear practical advantage.

Elastic SMX Polymer Technology With Long-Term Strength

Formulated as a neutral, elastic, one-component adhesive based on SMX Polymer technology, Fix ALL TurboTack delivers a strong and durable bond while still retaining useful flexibility after cure. That balance is important because many bonded assemblies are exposed to thermal movement, vibration, minor substrate deflection and everyday structural movement over time. Rather than curing to a brittle line that may crack or lose adhesion under stress, the adhesive remains resilient and helps absorb the loads that can cause localised bond failure. This makes it suitable not only for straightforward static fixing, but also for more dynamic applications involving panels, trims and fabricated components that need both strong early hold and the long-term movement tolerance expected in real building service conditions.

Excellent Workability Across Typical Site Conditions

Another important strength of Fix ALL TurboTack is its broad practical usability across a wide range of site conditions and substrate types. It provides very good adhesion on many common materials, even where surfaces are slightly moist, which is especially valuable in real-world installation work where perfectly dry conditions cannot always be guaranteed. The product also offers good workability, helping installers apply controlled beads and position components cleanly without excessive drag or stringing. This improves handling on detailed bonding tasks and supports a more professional finish on visible work. Combined with its low odour character, this makes Fix ALL TurboTack particularly well suited to interior fitting projects, while still offering the practical speed and reliability needed for external applications and mixed-environment site work.

Weather-Resistant, UV-Stable And Safe On Natural Stone

Once cured, Fix ALL TurboTack delivers a very durable bond with good weather resistance and good UV resistance, helping maintain long-term reliability in both interior and exterior environments. This durability is important where bonded elements will remain exposed to changing temperatures, sunlight and normal environmental wear over time. The adhesive is also non-staining on natural stone, which is a major advantage in visible architectural work where staining or migration from the bond line could damage the finished appearance of marble, limestone and similar materials. Taken together, these characteristics make Fix ALL TurboTack a specialist high tack construction adhesive for users who need exceptional early grab, strong final strength and dependable long-term performance across a broad range of professional bonding applications.

Product Performance

Fix ALL TurboTack is built around one of the most valuable performance combinations in modern construction adhesives, extremely high early grab and fast strength build-up. Its initial tack of more than 200kg/m² gives it strong immediate holding power, which is exactly what is needed when fitting panels, trims, or fabricated parts that must stay in place soon after contact. Achieving a hand-tight bond in around 30 minutes can make a significant difference on site, reducing waiting time and improving productivity without sacrificing final performance.

The technical characteristics also show why the product performs so well in demanding use. A Shore A hardness of 70 ± 5 indicates a firm, durable cured adhesive body, while an elasticity modulus of approximately 2.80N/mm² and maximum tension of around 3.60N/mm² reflect a strong bond line designed for serious holding power. At the same time, the product remains permanently elastic after curing and accommodates movement up to ±20%, which helps it cope with normal service stresses that might otherwise cause rigid adhesives to fail. With a curing speed of approximately 3mm per 24 hours, good UV resistance, good weather resistance, and a service temperature range from -40°C to +90°C, Fix ALL TurboTack offers a highly effective balance of fast installation, strong cured performance, and dependable long-term durability.

Health & Safety Recommendations

Read the packaging label and Safety Data Sheet before use, and follow normal site hygiene procedures throughout handling and application. Keep the working area well ventilated during use and curing, particularly in enclosed spaces or where several bonded items are being installed in the same area. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection, avoid prolonged skin contact, and wash hands thoroughly after use. If uncured product gets onto the skin, remove it promptly and wash with soap and water. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Because Fix ALL TurboTack is designed for very high initial grab and rapid early strength build-up, installation work often moves quickly once the adhesive is applied. Prepare the work area in advance, make sure all parts are ready to position, and keep the surrounding surfaces protected from accidental smearing. Keep cartridges away from children, animals, and food preparation areas, and maintain good housekeeping to reduce the risk of slips, surface contamination, or damage to finished materials.

Substrate Suitability

Fix ALL TurboTack is a high performance SMX Hybrid Polymer adhesive developed for heavy duty bonding on a wide range of common construction and industrial substrates. It adheres well to many usual building substrates, lacquered wood, stainless steel, AlMgSi1, electrolytic galvanised steel, AlCuMg1, hot dip galvanised steel, AlMg3, steel ST1403, polystyrene, polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, polyamide, PMMA, fibreglass reinforced epoxy, and polyester. This makes it particularly useful where a fast-setting adhesive is required on mixed materials in building and metal industry applications.

It is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. Although it can adhere to materials such as PMMA and polycarbonate, stress loaded bonding on these plastics can lead to crazing or stress cracking, so Fix ALL TurboTack is not recommended in those situations. Because substrate formulations, coatings, and finishes vary between manufacturers, carry out a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every unfamiliar or critical surface before full application.

Surface Preparation

For best results, all surfaces must be rigid, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oils, release agents, loose coatings, and any contamination that could affect adhesion. Even though Fix ALL TurboTack offers very high initial tack, it should not be relied on to overcome poor preparation or unstable substrates. Sound preparation is essential if the adhesive is expected to reach its fast early holding power and long-term bond performance.

Porous substrates in water loaded applications should be primed with Soudal Primer 150. Non-porous surfaces should be prepared with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser, and for optimum adhesion the use of Surface Activator is recommended where appropriate. Plastics often carry processing aids, mould release agents, or protective films from manufacture and transport, so these should be removed fully before bonding or sealing. Once prepared, surfaces should be kept clean and free from fresh contamination before the adhesive is applied.

Application Method

Apply Fix ALL TurboTack using a standard caulking gun. Dispense the adhesive in beads or dabs on one of the substrates, spacing them at approximately 15cm centres as a general guide. Always apply adhesive to the edges and corners of panels or components as well, as this improves support at the perimeter and helps prevent edge lift or localised flexing. Do not apply the glue in a fully closed circumference, keep the adhesive pattern interrupted so that cure can develop more effectively and trapped air is avoided.

Once applied, bring the substrates together and bed them into position. Tamp gently with a rubber hammer where appropriate to improve contact and spread the adhesive evenly. If necessary, support the bonded materials while the adhesive develops strength. For the elastic properties of the product to perform properly, the optimal bond thickness is at least 1mm. This is particularly important where slight movement, vibration, or differential thermal expansion is expected in service.

Because Fix ALL TurboTack develops strength quickly, positioning should be completed promptly and accurately. Skin formation occurs in approximately 5 minutes under normal conditions, so dry-fitting and job planning before extrusion are strongly recommended. Avoid smudging the visible faces of the materials with adhesive, particularly on decorative, coated, or transparent surfaces where cleanup is more difficult once curing begins.

Coverage

Coverage depends on bead size, bead spacing, substrate flatness, and the size of the bonded item. Beads or dabs placed at approximately 15cm centres will provide significantly more coverage than continuous heavy beads applied over uneven surfaces. Larger panels, irregular backgrounds, or assemblies that require more perimeter support will naturally consume more product.

For practical estimating, measure the intended bead pattern across the component and calculate the number of runs needed per item, then multiply that across the full job. Allow extra material for edges, corners, nozzle trimming, site losses, and any unevenness in the substrate. On rough or warped backgrounds, consumption will increase because more adhesive is needed to achieve reliable contact.

Curing Time

Fix ALL TurboTack cures by moisture curing and forms a surface skin in approximately 5 minutes under normal conditions. General curing speed is around 3mm per 24 hours, although actual cure time depends on bead thickness, temperature, humidity, substrate absorbency, and ventilation. Thin adhesive layers on absorbent and porous substrates allow the product to develop handling strength much more quickly than thick beads on dense non-absorbent materials.

For bonding on absorbent and porous substrates with a thin adhesive layer, the bond is already hand tight after approximately 30 minutes and can be loaded after around 3 hours. Thicker adhesive layers, colder site conditions, or non-absorbent substrates will extend the curing time. Although early loading is possible in the right conditions, the bond should only be fully loaded after 24 to 48 hours, once cure has progressed sufficiently through the adhesive line. Once cured, the product remains durable and serviceable within a temperature range of -40°C to +90°C.

Cleaning

Clean uncured Fix ALL TurboTack immediately using Swipex Cleaning Wipes. This should be done as work progresses, as the product develops skin and tack quickly and is much harder to remove neatly once curing has started. Keep the nozzle, gun, and surrounding surfaces clean during use to avoid dragging partially cured material across visible finishes.

Once cured, the product can only be removed mechanically. Mechanical removal should be carried out carefully on decorative surfaces, plastics, coated metals, and finished panels, as physical scraping can easily mark the substrate. Preventing smears during application is far preferable to attempting removal once the product has cured.

Limitations

Fix ALL TurboTack is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass. It cannot be used as a glazing sealant, use Silirub 2 or Silirub LMN. It is not suitable for bonding aquariums, use Silirub AQ. It must not be used in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.

Fix ALL TurboTack can be used for bonding natural stone, but it cannot be used as a joint sealant on this type of surface. It is also not suitable for self cleaning glass, use Soudal SMX 506. Contact with bitumen, tar, or other plasticiser releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, and butyl should be avoided, as this can lead to discoloration and loss of adhesion. The product can discolour under extreme conditions or after long UV exposure, and discoloration may also occur due to chemicals, high temperatures, or UV radiation. A total absence of UV can also cause colour change in some conditions.

Other Information

Fix ALL TurboTack can be applied to a very wide range of substrates, but compatibility should always be confirmed where the material type, coating, or manufacturer is unfamiliar. This is especially important for plastics, where properties can vary significantly even within the same general category. The product is intended for fast heavy duty bonding where early strength is critical, so success depends as much on correct preparation, controlled bead thickness, and accurate placement as it does on the adhesive itself.

When using different reactive joint sealants in the same area, allow the first joint sealant to harden completely before applying the next product. This helps avoid curing interference and compatibility problems at the interface. For best results, plan the bead pattern in advance, dry-fit the components before application, and only press the bonded parts together once everything is aligned and ready, as the product’s rapid early strength development leaves only a short practical adjustment window.

Q) What is Fix ALL TurboTack and what is it designed to do?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack is a high performance, one-component SMX Polymer adhesive developed for heavy duty bonding where very high initial grab and fast strength build-up are essential. It is designed to hold components quickly after placement, helping reduce the need for prolonged support while still delivering a strong long-term bond. Unlike slower conventional adhesives, it is aimed at installations where time matters and the assembly needs to become stable as soon as possible. Once cured, Fix ALL TurboTack remains permanently elastic rather than brittle, which helps it cope with normal movement, vibration and thermal expansion. This makes it a strong choice for professional fixing work across a wide range of common construction and fabrication tasks.

Q) How does Fix ALL TurboTack differ from a standard construction adhesive?

A) The main difference is speed and early holding power. Fix ALL TurboTack is specifically formulated to deliver an exceptionally high initial tack of more than 200kg/m², which means bonded parts grip much sooner after contact than with many standard adhesives. It also reaches a hand-tight bond in around 30 minutes under suitable conditions, which can dramatically improve installation speed on site. At the same time, it is not just about early grab, as it still cures to a strong, durable and permanently elastic bond. That combination of quick stabilisation, flexible cured performance and broad substrate compatibility makes Fix ALL TurboTack more specialised than a general low-tack construction adhesive.

Q) What is Fix ALL TurboTack best used for?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack is best used for heavy duty bonding jobs where components need to grip quickly and where delays caused by slow cure would hold the work back. Typical examples include fixing panels, trims, profiles, fabricated parts and other fitted building elements onto suitable substrates. It is particularly useful where you want to reduce clamping time or avoid excessive temporary support while still achieving a strong final bond. Because it remains elastic after curing, it also suits installations where some movement or vibration may occur in service. In practical terms, Fix ALL TurboTack is most valuable on fast-paced fitting, maintenance, refurbishment and fabrication work where speed, strength and reliability all matter.

Q) Is Fix ALL TurboTack suitable for interior and exterior use?

A) Yes, Fix ALL TurboTack is suitable for both interior and exterior bonding work, which makes it a flexible option for contractors and installers moving between internal fit-out and external detailing. Indoors, its low odour handling helps make application more comfortable, particularly on occupied sites or in enclosed areas. Outdoors, good weather resistance and good UV resistance support long-term durability where the bonded assembly is exposed to changing temperatures, rain and sunlight. It is also useful in real site conditions because it can be applied even when surfaces are slightly moist, rather than requiring perfectly dry backgrounds. That broad usability is one of the reasons Fix ALL TurboTack works well across varied building environments.

Q) Can Fix ALL TurboTack be used on slightly damp or humid surfaces?

A) Yes, one of the practical strengths of Fix ALL TurboTack is that it offers very good adhesion on many common materials even where surfaces are slightly moist or humid. That makes it useful on live building sites, refurbishment work and external jobs where ideal dry conditions cannot always be guaranteed. However, slightly moist does not mean wet or contaminated. Surfaces should still be rigid, clean and free from standing water, grease, oils, dust and loose material. For the fastest strength build-up and best long-term bond, proper preparation still matters. Fix ALL TurboTack is more tolerant than many traditional adhesives, but it will always perform best when the substrate is sound, stable and sensibly prepared.

Q) How fast does Fix ALL TurboTack develop strength?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack is designed specifically for fast strength build-up, which is one of its biggest advantages on site. Under suitable conditions, the bond becomes hand tight in around 30 minutes when applied in a thin adhesive layer on absorbent and porous substrates. It can then be loaded after around 3 hours in that same type of application. General curing continues at approximately 3mm per 24 hours, so thicker adhesive layers or less favourable site conditions will naturally slow things down. This means Fix ALL TurboTack can save a significant amount of time compared with slower products, but the actual performance still depends on bead thickness, substrate type, temperature, humidity and ventilation.

Q) Does Fix ALL TurboTack stay flexible after curing?

A) Yes, Fix ALL TurboTack remains permanently elastic after curing, which is a major reason it performs well in real building and fabrication conditions. A rigid adhesive can bond strongly at first but later fail when the materials expand, contract or vibrate in service. Fix ALL TurboTack is different because it combines high strength with elasticity, allowing the bond line to tolerate minor movement without becoming brittle. It can accommodate movement up to ±20%, which helps reduce the risk of cracking, debonding or localised stress failure between dissimilar materials. This makes it especially useful where metal, timber, stone or fabricated parts may respond differently to temperature changes or everyday movement once installed.

Q) What materials will Fix ALL TurboTack bond to?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack bonds to a very wide range of common construction and industrial materials, which is one of its main practical advantages. It adheres well to many usual building substrates, lacquered wood, stainless steel, galvanised steels, several aluminium grades, natural stone, polystyrene, PVC, ABS, polyamide, PMMA, polycarbonate, polyester and fibreglass reinforced epoxy. That broad adhesion profile makes it very useful where mixed materials are involved in one assembly. Even so, performance can vary depending on coatings, finishes and manufacturer formulations, especially with plastics and factory-coated surfaces. For that reason, a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test is always advisable before committing to a full application on unfamiliar or critical substrates.

Q) What surfaces should not be used with Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack is not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper, or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. These materials present known adhesion or compatibility problems and should be avoided. Although Fix ALL TurboTack can adhere to plastics such as PMMA and polycarbonate in some cases, it is not recommended for stress-loaded bonding on those plastics because crazing or stress cracking may occur. It is also not suitable as a glazing sealant, should not be used for aquarium bonding, and must not be used where continuous water immersion is expected. As with any high-performance adhesive, limitations matter just as much as strengths, so correct product selection is essential for reliable long-term performance.

Q) Is Fix ALL TurboTack suitable for natural stone?

A) Yes, Fix ALL TurboTack is suitable for bonding porous natural stone and is described as non-staining on natural stone, which makes it useful for visible installations involving materials such as marble and limestone. This is an important benefit because some adhesives can migrate or discolour sensitive stone finishes over time. However, that suitability relates to bonding rather than using it as a dedicated natural stone joint sealant. If the application is specifically a natural stone joint rather than a bond, a more appropriate joint sealing product should be selected. For stone bonding tasks where fast early hold and a durable elastic cure are needed, Fix ALL TurboTack is a very practical option, provided the substrate is compatible and correctly prepared.

Q) Is Fix ALL TurboTack good for bonding panels, trims and profiles?

A) Yes, this is one of the areas where Fix ALL TurboTack is particularly effective. Its very high initial tack helps panels, trims and profiles grip quickly after positioning, which reduces the risk of slip and helps installers maintain alignment without prolonged holding or extensive temporary support. That is especially useful on vertical applications or where neat finishing matters. Because it also cures to a strong and permanently elastic bond, it can cope better with movement and service stresses than a brittle adhesive. When using Fix ALL TurboTack on panels or profiles, it is important to apply beads at edges and corners as well as through the field of the piece where required, so support is distributed properly.

Q) Can Fix ALL TurboTack be used in the metal industry as well as construction?

A) Yes, Fix ALL TurboTack is suited to both building industry and metal industry bonding tasks, which makes it more versatile than many products aimed only at general construction. In metal-related work, it is useful where strong adhesion, rapid early handling strength and a degree of elasticity are needed in one product. This can include fabricated components, profiles, sheet sections and mixed-material assemblies that must be secured quickly but still tolerate vibration and thermal movement in service. The fact that Fix ALL TurboTack adheres to several metal types and remains flexible after curing is a major benefit here. As always, correct surface preparation and a compatibility test on coated or unfamiliar metals remain important.

Q) How should surfaces be prepared before using Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) Surface preparation is critical if Fix ALL TurboTack is expected to deliver its fast grab and strong long-term bond. Substrates must be rigid, clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oils, release agents, loose coatings and other contamination. Porous substrates in water-loaded situations should be primed with Soudal Primer 150 where appropriate. Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser, and for optimum adhesion the use of Surface Activator is recommended where suitable. Plastics deserve particular care because they may carry mould release agents, processing aids or protective films from manufacture and transport. If these are not removed fully, even a high-tack adhesive like Fix ALL TurboTack may not achieve reliable adhesion.

Q) How do you apply Fix ALL TurboTack correctly?

A) Apply Fix ALL TurboTack with a standard caulking gun in beads or dabs on one substrate, generally at around 15cm centres as a practical guide. Always place adhesive near edges and corners as well, because these areas need support to reduce lifting or localised flexing. Do not run the adhesive in a completely closed perimeter, as an interrupted bead pattern helps curing and avoids trapping air. Once applied, bring the parts together promptly and bed them down firmly. A rubber hammer can be used where appropriate to improve contact. Dry-fitting before application is strongly recommended, because Fix ALL TurboTack skins in around 5 minutes and develops strength quickly, so there is only a short practical window for final positioning.

Q) What bond thickness works best with Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack performs best when the adhesive layer is controlled rather than excessively thick or squeezed down to nothing. For the elastic properties to work properly, the optimal bond thickness is at least 1mm. This is important because a bond line that is too thin can reduce the product’s ability to absorb movement, while a bond line that is too thick will slow curing and reduce the speed advantage that makes Fix ALL TurboTack so useful. In practical terms, the aim is a consistent adhesive bed that gives good contact while still allowing the cured product to remain resilient. Careful application, proper bedding pressure and sensible bead design all help achieve that result.

Q) How long is the working time before Fix ALL TurboTack starts to skin?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack has a short practical working window, so job planning matters. It typically forms a surface skin in around 5 minutes under normal conditions, which means positioning, adjustment and any visible edge finishing need to be completed promptly after application. That quick skin formation is part of what helps the product stabilise fast, but it also means the installer should not apply it casually and then return later to align the parts. Dry-fitting and having all materials ready before extrusion is the best approach. If the visible edge needs finishing, do it immediately and carefully, because once Fix ALL TurboTack begins to skin, neat correction becomes more difficult and smearing is harder to remove cleanly.

Q) How much Fix ALL TurboTack will I need for a job?

A) The amount of Fix ALL TurboTack required depends on bead size, bead spacing, substrate flatness and the size of the components being bonded. A flat background with controlled beads or dabs at sensible centres will naturally use less material than an uneven surface that needs heavier application to achieve full contact. Larger panels and pieces with long perimeters also need more adhesive because edge support is important. There is no single fixed coverage figure that suits every job, so the best method is to estimate based on your intended bead pattern and the number of components being fixed. Always allow extra for edges, corners, site losses, nozzle trimming and any irregularities in the substrate.

Q) Can Fix ALL TurboTack be painted after curing?

A) Yes, Fix ALL TurboTack may be overpainted, and water-based paints are generally the preferred option. This can be useful where the adhesive line sits near visible finishes and needs to blend more neatly into the surrounding decorative work. However, as with other hybrid adhesive sealants, paint compatibility can vary significantly depending on the coating used. A test area is strongly recommended before full decoration, especially where the finish needs to look consistent or where drying time is critical. Alkyd resin-based paints may show slower drying over the cured adhesive, so extra time should be allowed if those systems are chosen. Good cure before painting will also help improve the final appearance.

Q) How do you clean up Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack should be cleaned while still fresh, because once it starts to skin it becomes much harder to remove neatly. Uncured product should be wiped away immediately using Swipex Cleaning Wipes, particularly from tools, nozzles and visible surrounding surfaces. Keeping the work clean as you go is especially important with a fast-skinning product like this, because smears on coated finishes, decorative panels or natural stone can become troublesome very quickly. Once cured, Fix ALL TurboTack can only be removed mechanically, which always carries some risk of marking the substrate. For that reason, prevention is much better than cure, and careful application is the best way to avoid time-consuming clean-up later.

Q) What are the main limitations of Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) Fix ALL TurboTack is a specialist high-tack bonding adhesive, but it is not suitable for every situation. It must not be used on PE, PP, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper, bronze or brass. It is not a glazing sealant, not suitable for aquarium bonding, and must not be used where continuous water immersion will occur. It is also unsuitable for stress-loaded bonding on plastics such as PMMA and polycarbonate because cracking or crazing may result. Although it can bond natural stone, it should not be used as a natural stone joint sealant. Contact with bitumen, tar, EPDM, neoprene and butyl should also be avoided because these materials can cause discolouration and adhesion loss over time.

Q) What are the best practical tips for getting the best results with Fix ALL TurboTack?

A) The best results with Fix ALL TurboTack come from treating it like a fast professional bonding system rather than a casual general adhesive. Prepare everything before opening the cartridge, including dry-fitting the parts and planning the bead pattern, because the product skins quickly and develops strength fast. Keep the adhesive layer controlled and at least 1mm thick so the cured bond can remain elastic. Apply beads or dabs at sensible centres, always including edges and corners, and avoid fully closed bead perimeters. Press the parts together firmly and accurately, because proper contact matters more than prolonged pressure. Finally, judge cure time by the real site conditions rather than assumptions, especially on dense or non-absorbent substrates.
