Typical Applications:

  • General Joinery of Wooden Materials

  • Interior applications which are exposed to high relative humidity.

  • Exterior applications which are exposed to direct weather influence.

  • Bonding of Windows and Door Frames (also Corner Connections) which need to meet class D4 according to EN204.

  • Bonding of Wooden Construction Elements.

  • Bonding of Insulation Materials, including Polystyrene.

Substrate Suitability:

Suitable for many porous and non porous substrates, such as wood, MDF, chipboard, concrete, stone, metal, plastics, PU foam, polystyrene foam, mineral wool and other conventional materials in construction.

Not suitable for Glass, PE, PP, PA, EPDM and Teflon.

Surface Preparation:

Surfaces should be clean and free of dust and grease.

The adhesive cures on exposure to moisture in the air or in the material and foams up thereby very light. A lightly moisten the surface (water spray) can accelerate the hardening process and increase the filling character.

We recommend a preliminary adhesion test on any substrate.

Application Method:

  • Application Method: Moisten both surfaces, apply the adhesive with a Sealant Gun onto one of the surfaces. Bring the two parts together within a maximum of 5 minutes for optimum adhesion. Clamp within 15 minutes. Clamping of the materials during the curing process is necessary in order to achieve the maximum final bond strength.

    Soudal PU Construction Adhesive reaches 80% of its end strength after 10 minutes (when moistened). When bonding two non-porous surfaces, slightly moisten only one of the surfaces. Avoid the sliding of the adhesive connection during application and curing.

  • Cleaning: Soudal PU Construction Adhesive can, before the adhesive is cured, be removed from tools and materials with Soudal Gun and Foam Cleaner. Cured adhesive has to be removed mechanically

  • Repair: With the same material
