Platon Sealing Rope is a specialist butyl rubber sealing rope designed for use with Platon cavity drain membrane installations. While Platon Sealing Tape is used for flat, linear joints between adjacent membrane sheets, Platon Sealing Rope is intended for three-dimensional waterproofing details where a tape cannot easily sit flat, follow the shape or maintain full contact. Its bead format allows the material to be formed around fixing plugs, pipe penetrations, cable routes, protrusions, irregular junctions, shaped membrane cuts and awkward substrate details. This helps maintain the continuity of the waterproof layer wherever the membrane has been interrupted or the detailing requires a more adaptable sealing material.
