not sure why Soudal have 2 different types of Caulk but this is far better than the Soudal branded Caulk (different looking label) which I bought from B&Q.

Filling Small Cracks in Plaster: Soudal Decorators Caulk is ideal for filling small cracks in plaster, ensuring a flawless surface before painting or any decorative finish.
Soudal Decorators Caulk is suitable for most porous building surfaces and aluminium. It adheres well to materials such as wood, brickwork, concrete, plasterboard, and painted surfaces.
However, it is NOT recommended for use on natural stone, bitumen, glass, and metal surfaces. To ensure compatibility, we recommend conducting a preliminary adhesion test on each surface.
Before applying Soudal Decorators Caulk, it is crucial to prepare the surface properly. Start by ensuring that the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust and grease.
If the surface is highly porous, we recommend priming it with a suitable primer to enhance adhesion and ensure optimal results.
Cut the Nozzle: Cut the nozzle of the cartridge at a 45-degree angle to control the size of the bead. The size of the nozzle opening should match the width of the joint or gap you are sealing.
Load the Cartridge: Load the cartridge into the caulking gun according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure it is securely in place.
Apply Consistent Pressure: Apply consistent pressure on the caulking gun trigger to dispense the sealant. Start at one end of the joint or gap and steadily move along its length.
Fill the Gap: Apply the sealant directly into the joint or gap, ensuring it is completely filled. Make sure the caulk makes contact with both sides of the joint for optimal adhesion.
Smooth the Surface: For best results, spray the surface with a soapy solution before the sealant begins to skin. This solution enables easy smoothing and ensures a smooth, professional finish. You can use a caulking tool or a wet finger to smooth the caulk and remove any excess.
Curing Time: Allow the sealant to dry and cure according to the manufacturer's instructions. The curing time may vary depending on environmental conditions, but ensure the caulk is fully cured before painting or finishing.
Once the sealant is applied, it can be smoothly finished using the Soudaglatt Smoothing Tool or a similar tool of your choice. Simply run the tool smoothly along the sealant line to create an even finish.
If a smoothing tool is not available, a wetted finger can be used to achieve a similar effect. Perform the finishing process before the sealant begins to skin, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance.
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.
Please refer to our Guide on How To Measure The Number of Tubes Required For the Job.
Minimum Width for Joints: 1mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 10mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 5mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = Joint Depth.
Clean any uncured sealant immediately after use with water. Wipe off any excess sealant to avoid it drying on surfaces. Please note that once the sealant cures, it becomes difficult to remove. Therefore, it is essential to clean the product residue promptly.
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
Do not apply when rain or frost is imminent
Decorators Caulk can be painted over with most paints.
The paint should be sufficiently elastic to be applied on a plasto-elastic sealant. A preliminary test is recommended.
