Wykamol Woodworm & Rot Treatments:

Here in the UK, our traditional building methods combined with a predominantly damp, temperate climate causes the housing stock to suffer some of the highest levels of risk from insect and fungal attack to structural timbers. It is considered 'good practice' in building design to pre-treat timber with preservatives as a lifetime precaution against dry rot or woodworm.

Unfortunately, most traditional buildings (and many modern buildings too) do not have the benefit of such protection and this, combined with poor maintenance, leads to many cases of timber decay being identified during housing surveys.

The Microtech Range

The Microtech Range is a range of super-concentrated Wood Treatments from Wykamol, consisting of a Woodworm ONLY Treatment (Microtech Insecticide) and a DUAL Woodworm & Dry Rot Treatment (Microtech Dual Fungicide & insecticide). Both Microtech Products dilute to make 25 Litres of ready-to-use product.

Wykabor Boron Wood Treatments

Wykabor Boron Based Treatments are based on water-soluble borate, a timber preservative that has been extensively researched over the last 50 years.

Products within the Wykabor Boron Range include Wykabor 10.1, a ready-to-use DUAL Woodworm & Dry Rot Treatment. Wykabor 20.1, a highly effective and deep penetrating timber gel. And Wykabor 40.1, a highly concentrated, injectable Boron paste.

Masonry Biocides

We also supply a range of very effective Wykamol Dry Rot Treatments for use on masonry and brickwork only.

Wykamol Microtech Biocide and Brunosol 6X are industry-leading products, designed to treat masonry brickwork for dry rot. Both products are supplied in concentrated form, which dilute with water to make 25 Litres of Ready-to-use product. These are also approved for use by the HSE.

These products should NOT be used to treat or prevent Dry and Wet Rot on Timbers, instead a Wood Treatment should be used.

Note: It is important to identify and rectify the cause of dampness associated with the dry rot outbreak, i.e leaking gutters, poor ventilation, rising damp etc. Failure to do so may cause further outbreaks of dry rot in future.
