At Platinum Chemicals, we provide a diverse range of Wonder Grip Gloves specifically designed to offer protection against cold and thermal hazards. These gloves are crafted to meet the rigorous requirements of EN511 (Cold Hazards) and EN407 (Heat Risk) standards. Whether you're working in freezing temperatures or exposed to extreme heat, our Wonder Grip Gloves ensure your hands remain protected, offering both safety and functionality in challenging environments.
Our range includes premium gloves like the Wonder Grip 338 Thermo Plus, Wonder Grip 538 Freeze Flex Plus, and Wonder Grip 788 Dexcut, each tailored to meet specific industrial and environmental needs. These gloves not only protect against temperature extremes but are also designed to offer high dexterity, cut resistance, and exceptional grip in wet, dry, and oily conditions.
The EN511 standard defines the protection level of gloves against cold environments, including both convective and contact cold. These gloves are designed for workers who are exposed to low temperatures in industries such as construction, warehousing, logistics, and cold storage. EN511 testing ensures that the gloves provide sufficient insulation to prevent cold-related injuries, such as frostbite, while maintaining flexibility for practical use.
EN511 Gloves are tested across three critical areas:
Convective Cold Resistance: This measures how well the glove insulates against the surrounding cold environment. The higher the score (ranging from 0 to 4), the better the glove prevents heat loss from the hand.
Contact Cold Resistance: This assesses the glove’s ability to protect the hand when holding or touching cold objects. A rating between 0 and 4 determines how well the glove resists cold transfer from a surface. Gloves like the Wonder Grip 538 Freeze Flex Plus are rated for their ability to maintain warmth even in freezing conditions as low as -30°C, making them ideal for handling cold materials.
Water Permeability: This tests whether the glove prevents water penetration after 30 minutes. If a glove passes this test, it is marked with a ‘1’ for Pass, indicating its water-resistant capabilities. If a glove fails this test, it is marked with a ‘0’ for Fail. Gloves like the Wonder Grip 538 Freeze Flex Plus and Wonder Grip 338 Thermo Plus pass this test, making them ideal for damp or wet environments.
Gloves meeting EN511 standards are essential for workers in cold storage, food processing, outdoor construction, and any environment where cold temperatures pose a risk. The Wonder Grip 520IT Thermo Lite and Wonder Grip 538 Freeze Flex Plus provide excellent performance in such settings, ensuring the wearer’s hands stay warm and dry while maintaining the flexibility needed to handle materials.
For workers exposed to high temperatures, such as in welding, foundries, or industries where there is a risk of contact with hot objects, EN407-Rated gloves are a must. The EN407 standard defines six distinct thermal hazard tests to evaluate a glove's effectiveness in protecting against heat risks.
Limited Flame Spread: This test measures how well the glove resists burning. The gloves are exposed to flames, and the time it takes for the glove material to stop burning is measured.
Contact Heat Resistance: This measures the glove’s protection when holding or touching hot surfaces (ranging from 100°C to 500°C). For example, gloves like the Wonder Grip 333 Rock & Stone and the Wonder Grip 338 Thermo Plus offer Level 2 protection against contact heat, making them suitable for industries where handling heated equipment is common.
Convective Heat Resistance: This test determines the glove’s ability to resist heat transfer from flames. It evaluates how long the glove material can delay the heat from reaching the hand.
Radiant Heat Resistance: This measures how well the glove resists radiant heat, such as in welding or glass-blowing.
Small and Large Splashes of Molten Metal: These tests determine how well the glove material protects the skin from molten metal splashes.
Gloves with EN407 certification are essential for industries that involve welding, metal work, glass production, and manufacturing.
Beyond their impressive performance in cold and thermal conditions, Wonder Grip Gloves come with additional features to improve workplace safety and functionality. Many of our gloves, including the Wonder Grip 520IT Thermo Lite and Wonder Grip 1855HY U-FEEL, are compatible with touchscreen devices, allowing users to operate digital equipment without removing their gloves.
Gloves like the Wonder Grip 780 Dexcut and Wonder Grip 718 Dexcut provide cut resistance in addition to thermal protection. These gloves are rated to ISO Cut Level D, making them ideal for handling sharp materials while maintaining flexibility and durability. The Wonder Grip 522 BEE TOUGH is perfect for environments that involve greasy or oily surfaces, offering exceptional grip performance in challenging conditions.
The Wonder Grip 658L Chem Defender provides chemical resistance and is certified under EN374 for protection against harmful substances. This makes it suitable for environments where workers handle hazardous chemicals and require protection against both thermal risks and chemical exposure.
At Platinum Chemicals, we are committed to providing high-quality gloves that meet the toughest safety standards. Our Wonder Grip Cold & Thermal Resistant Gloves are engineered to offer comprehensive protection against both cold and heat risks, ensuring your hands remain safe, comfortable, and functional in extreme working conditions. Whether you are working in cold storage, handling hot machinery, or dealing with hazardous materials, Wonder Grip Gloves provide the reliability and performance you need to get the job done safely.
With gloves like the Wonder Grip 338 Thermo Plus, Wonder Grip 538 Freeze Flex Plus, Wonder Grip 733 Dexcut, and Wonder Grip 780 Dexcut, you can be assured that your hands are fully protected against the harshest environmental hazards. These gloves not only meet the EN511 and EN407 standards but also provide exceptional dexterity, grip, and cut resistance, making them the perfect choice for professionals in a wide range of industries.
