The Wykamol Waterguard Flexible Jetting Eye is a purpose-designed inspection and cleaning point that supports long-term performance of below-ground cavity drain waterproofing systems. Compatible with both the Waterguard Perimeter Channel and Floor Drain Channel, this component allows easy access for routine maintenance tasks such as flushing, inspection, and the removal of sediment or lime build-up. Its inclusion is essential for ensuring the continued effectiveness and reliability of Type C waterproofing installations, particularly in areas vulnerable to water ingress.
What distinguishes this jetting eye is its flexible upstand, which can be repositioned or bent to suit the specific needs of the installation. This makes it particularly effective in situations where the drainage system will be concealed beneath concrete slabs or where it needs to interface with vertical wall port systems. Once installed, the flexible upstand remains accessible from above, providing a discreet yet practical solution for future system maintenance. For integration into the Waterguard system, Waterguard Connector Pieces are required on both sides to securely join the Flexible Jetting Eye to adjacent channel sections. As part of a maintainable drainage network, it should be installed every 10 to 12 metres to comply with best practice and ensure efficient, long-term system operation.
Flexible Upstand Jetting Point: The unique bendable upstand can be repositioned to suit different installation environments, such as use with wall ports or beneath slab floors, allowing easy post-installation access.
Essential Maintenance Access: Provides a critical access point for jetting and inspecting the Waterguard system, helping to prevent silt, lime, or debris build-up within the channel.
Compatible with Finished Floors: Enables concrete slabs or other flooring systems to be laid without obstructing future access, as the flexible upstand remains reachable after construction is complete.
Wall Port System Integration: Ideal for use where jetting access is required via a wall port, especially in retrofitted or confined waterproofing scenarios in basements or cellars.
Below-Ground Waterproofing with Slab Finishes: Allows for slab installation over the channel system while still providing accessible maintenance points, critical in permanently sealed or tiled floors.
Access Points for Jetting and Cleaning: Recommended every 10 to 12 metres within the Waterguard system to maintain proper flow and ensure long-term compliance with BS 8102:2009 waterproofing standards.
