An innovative adhesive solution, Soudabond 265 Classic Spray, is a wonder-product offering a superior adhesive solution.
An aerosol contact adhesive, it is ready for use right out of the box. Crafted to provide strong bonds between most lightweight materials, it is especially effective on textiles, flexible floor coverings, and sensitive materials, such as polystyrene.
The spray adhesive possesses a high bonding strength, remarkable adhesion capabilities to a variety of material types and surfaces, and fast drying times. The final product applies clear and transparent, providing a non-intrusive bond that lets the original components shine through.
Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is Dichloromethane (DCM) Free, emphasizing user safety and environmental care.
Aerosol Contact Adhesive: The aerosol format allows for easy application, avoiding the hassle of tools or brushes, and ensuring a clean, uniform coverage.
Universal Use: It can be employed in a variety of situations due to its high adaptability to different materials.
User-Friendly: Not requiring specialized training or intricate instructions, this product is designed to be easy to use for anyone, from experts to DIY enthusiasts.
Doesn’t Attack Polystyrene: Not all adhesives are safe for use on sensitive materials like polystyrene, but this one is!
Quick Strength Build-Up: The adhesive quickly gains strength, providing secure and durable bonds on application.
Fast Drying Process: Soudabond 265 Classic Spray doesn't keep you waiting, drying quickly for efficient bonding.
High Adhesiveness: Its excellent sticking ability ensures secure bonds on multiple material types.
DCM Free: Without dichloromethane, this adhesive opts for safer alternatives, providing you with a more user-safe product.
Bonding Packaging Materials: The adhesive offers an ideal solution for attaching packaging elements together for secure transport or storage.
Textile and Floor Coverings: Suitable for bonding floor coverings and textiles, providing a robust and lasting bond.
Lightweight Materials: It lends its stand-out adhesive capabilities to lightweight materials such as cork, leather, cardboard, paper, carpet, plastics, fiberglass, and polystyrene.
Bonding Laminate and Veneer: It can be efficiently used in joining laminate and veneer surfaces, ensuring a secure finish.
Suited to Even Surfaces: As the adhesive performs best on even surfaces, it ensures a clean and perfect finish when employed in such conditions.
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
Not suitable for vinyl or other materials with a high content of plasticizers
The to-be-bonded materials should be flat and well fitting as well as clean, dry and free of dust and grease.
Generally, no pre-treatment is required. Rough grinding of smooth surfaces improves the adhesion.
A preliminary adhesion test on every surface is recommended.
Soudabond 265 Classic Spray Contact Adhesive Spray can be applied to almost all substrates, except for Polyethylene, Polypropylene or PTFE.
Be aware of migration of the plasticizer from softer plastics, this might negatively influence the bond.
Shake can well before use.
When processing, keep the aerosol can at all times upright and fully press the nozzle. Spray at a distance of approximately 5cm to 10cm of the object.
Apply the adhesive evenly to both to be bonded surfaces. Spray the lanes over the entire material, preferably having a halfway overlap of the previous lane in order to have covered the whole surface with 2 layers.
Two light coats (with overlap) give better results than one thick coat. Wait at least 10 minutes (at 23°C and 50% R.H.) and join the two parts together. Then press firmly together.
When making connections, the strength and not the duration of the compression will determine the ultimate strength. Preferably use a roller or a rubber hammer to press together.
After spraying, hold the can upside down and press the spray head until only propellant and no more product comes out to prevent clogging up of the spray can.
A) Soudabond 265 Classic Spray Contact Adhesive is a universal, ready-to-use aerosol contact adhesive designed for strong, durable bonding of lightweight materials. It is effective on textiles, flexible floor coverings, and sensitive materials like polystyrene, offering high bonding strength, fast drying times, and a clear, transparent application. It is also Dichloromethane (DCM) free, prioritizing user safety and environmental care.
A) To apply Soudabond 265 Classic Spray, shake the can well before use. Keep it upright and spray from a distance of approximately 5cm to 10cm directly onto the surface. Apply the adhesive evenly on both surfaces to be bonded, using overlapping lanes to ensure full coverage with two light layers. Allow at least 10 minutes for it to dry before pressing the surfaces together firmly with a roller or rubber hammer.
A) Yes, Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is safe for use on sensitive materials such as polystyrene. It does not attack polystyrene, making it an ideal adhesive for applications involving this material.
A) Yes, Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is environmentally friendly as it is Dichloromethane (DCM) Free. This means it does not contain dichloromethane, a solvent that poses health and environmental risks, making it a safer choice for users and the environment.
A) The main limitations of Soudabond 265 Classic Spray are that it should not be used in applications where continuous water immersion is possible, and it is not suitable for bonding vinyl or other materials with a high content of plasticizers due to compatibility issues.
A) Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. While generally no pre-treatment is required, roughening smooth surfaces can improve adhesion. A preliminary adhesion test on each surface is recommended to ensure compatibility.
A) A 500ml aerosol can of Soudabond 265 Classic Spray covers approximately 3.5m², although actual coverage may vary depending on the application technique and surface conditions.
A) Yes, Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is particularly effective for bonding textiles as well as flexible floor coverings, providing a strong and lasting bond.
A) Soudabond 265 Classic Spray should not be applied to Polyethylene, Polypropylene, or PTFE due to poor adhesion properties with these materials. Additionally, it's not suitable for materials with a high content of plasticizers, like certain types of vinyl.
A) The adhesive typically dries within 10 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity, after which the surfaces can be pressed together. The open time, or the time during which the adhesive can bond effectively, is approximately 120 minutes under the same conditions.
A) While Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is highly versatile, its suitability for outdoor applications may depend on the specific conditions, such as exposure to water or extreme temperatures. It's best used in environments where its temperature resistance (-20°C to 80°C) and other properties align with the application requirements.
A) Yes, Soudabond 265 Classic Spray can be efficiently used for bonding laminate and veneer surfaces, ensuring a secure and durable finish.
A) To prevent clogging, hold the can upside down after use and press the spray head until only propellant (no more product) comes out. This helps keep the nozzle clear for future applications.
A) For the strongest bond, ensure that both surfaces are clean, dry, and properly prepared. Apply the adhesive evenly in overlapping lanes to both surfaces, wait for the prescribed drying time, and then press the surfaces together firmly with a roller or rubber hammer. The strength of the bond is determined
Approximately 3.5m² per 500ml Aerosol Can. Coverage will vary depending on application.
