Soudal Grip All Hybrid Polymer is a High Strength, Flexible Hybrid Polymer Grab Adhesive developed by Soudal using Flexible Bonding Technology.

The flexible properties of Soudal Grip All Hybrid Polymer improve the overall durability of the final bond.

Soudal Grip All Hybrid Polymer can be used both inside and outside, in all weather conditions.

Grip All Hybrid Polymer can also be applied on both damp and humid surfaces.

Typical Applications:

  • For Bonding Applications when a strong and flexible bond is essential.

  • Capable of Bonding all common building materials including Wood, Plywood, Plasterboard, Insulation Board, Breeze Block, Ceramics, Brick, Stone, Tile, Metal. Concrete, Plaster, PVCu and most Plastics.

  • Bonding Applications when a strong and Clear and flexible bond is essential (Crystal Clear only).

  • Transparent and elastic bonding in construction and building applications (Crystal Clear only).

  • Invisible bonding of glass and other transparent materials in indoor applications (Crystal Clear only).

  • NOT suitable for use on Natural Stone (use Fix All Flexi).

Surface Preparation:

Grip All Hybrid Polymer has a good adhesion to most substrates. However, for optimal adhesion and in critical applications, such as joints exposed to extreme weather conditions, high- or water loaded joints, we recommend to follow a pre-treatment procedure.

Porous surfaces in water loaded applications should be primed with Soudal Primer 150. Prepare non-porous surfaces with Soudal Cleaner & Degreaser or Soudal Multi Cleaner Foam Spray.

Note: Bonding plastics like PMMA (e.g. Plexi® glass), polycarbonate (e.g. Makrolon® or Lexan®) in stress loaded applications can give rise to stress cracking and crazing in these substrates. The use of Grip All Hybrid Polymer is not recommended in these applications.

Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. We recommend a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.

Application Method:

  • Application: With a Caulking Gun.

  • Cleaning: With Sealant Remover immediately after use.

  • Finishing: Spray with a soapy solution before skinning.

  • Repair: With the same material

Joint Dimensions:

  • Minimum Width for Bonding: Colours: 2mm, Crystal Clear: 1mm 

  • Minimum Width for Joints: 5mm

  • Maximum Width for Bonding: Colours: 10mm, Crystal Clear: 3mm

  • Maximum Width for Joints: Colours: 30mm, Crystal Clear: 10mm

  • Minimum Depth for Joints: 5mm

  • Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = 2 x Joint Depth

Remarks:

  • Grip All Hybrid Polymer may be overpainted with water based paints, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compatibility test before application.

  • Grip All Hybrid Polymer can not be used as a glazing sealant. Use Silirub LMN or Silirub 2 instead.

  • A total absence of UV can cause a color change of the sealant.

  • When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.

  • Grip All Hybrid Polymer has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.

  • Discoloration due to chemicals, high temperatures, UV-radiation may occur. A change in color does not affect the technical properties of the product.

  • Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.

  • Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.

  • Not suitable for bonding aquariums.

  • Do not use on natural stones like marble and granite as this may cause staining. Use Fix All Flexi or Silirub MA Instead..
