Paintable after 24 hours, and displaying superior adhesion qualities on many porous surfaces, it is ideal for static and lower movement joints.
This self-repairing mastic is widely used across masonry works, coachwork, container construction, roof construction, window frames and sills, as well as for installing single glass in numerous window frames.

Soudal Butyrub Non Setting Mastic is designed to provide excellent adhesion on all common building substrates. This includes wood, concrete, stone, aluminium, and all metals, reinforcing the strength and longevity of any construction project.
Prior to the application, it is crucial to ensure the surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any dust or grease. Carry out a preliminary adhesion test on each surface to validate the mastic's efficacy.
The product is easily applied using a Caulking Gun as required. Once applied, spray the surface with a Soapy Solution, a step integral to prevent skinning.
Subsequently, perfect the finish using the Soudaglatt Smoothing Tool or a similarly efficient tool, alternatively a wetted finger can also be used.
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.

To keep your workspace tidy, it is recommended to clean any uncured product immediately after use. This can be achieved using a surface cleaner, or for best results, Soudal Swipex Cleaning Wipes.
Minimum Width for Joints: 5 mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 20 mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 5 mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = Joint Depth. Use PE backer rods before applying the sealant in large joints to avoid 3-point adhesion.
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
Paintable with most paints.
The paint should be sufficiently elastic to be applied to a plastic sealant.
Given the great diversity in available paints it is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
Not suitable for sealing of insulation glass units or safety glass.
Do not use on natural stones like marble, granite etc... may cause staining.
