An aerosol contact adhesive, it is ready for use right out of the box. Crafted to provide strong bonds between most lightweight materials, it is especially effective on textiles, flexible floor coverings, and sensitive materials, such as polystyrene.

The spray adhesive possesses a high bonding strength, remarkable adhesion capabilities to a variety of material types and surfaces, and fast drying times. The final product applies clear and transparent, providing a non-intrusive bond that lets the original components shine through.

Soudabond 265 Classic Spray is Dichloromethane (DCM) Free, emphasizing user safety and environmental care.

Product Benefits:

  • Aerosol Contact Adhesive: The aerosol format allows for easy application, avoiding the hassle of tools or brushes, and ensuring a clean, uniform coverage.

  • Universal Use: It can be employed in a variety of situations due to its high adaptability to different materials.

  • User-Friendly: Not requiring specialized training or intricate instructions, this product is designed to be easy to use for anyone, from experts to DIY enthusiasts.

  • Doesn’t Attack Polystyrene: Not all adhesives are safe for use on sensitive materials like polystyrene, but this one is!

  • Quick Strength Build-Up: The adhesive quickly gains strength, providing secure and durable bonds on application.

  • Fast Drying Process: Soudabond 265 Classic Spray doesn't keep you waiting, drying quickly for efficient bonding.

  • High Adhesiveness: Its excellent sticking ability ensures secure bonds on multiple material types.

  • DCM Free: Without dichloromethane, this adhesive opts for safer alternatives, providing you with a more user-safe product.

Typical Applications:

  • Bonding Packaging Materials: The adhesive offers an ideal solution for attaching packaging elements together for secure transport or storage.

  • Textile and Floor Coverings: Suitable for bonding floor coverings and textiles, providing a robust and lasting bond.

  • Lightweight Materials: It lends its stand-out adhesive capabilities to lightweight materials such as cork, leather, cardboard, paper, carpet, plastics, fiberglass, and polystyrene.

  • Bonding Laminate and Veneer: It can be efficiently used in joining laminate and veneer surfaces, ensuring a secure finish.

  • Suited to Even Surfaces: As the adhesive performs best on even surfaces, it ensures a clean and perfect finish when employed in such conditions.

Limitations:

  • Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.

  • Not suitable for vinyl or other materials with a high content of plasticizers

Surface Preparation:

The to-be-bonded materials should be flat and well fitting as well as clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

Generally, no pre-treatment is required. Rough grinding of smooth surfaces improves the adhesion.

A preliminary adhesion test on every surface is recommended.

Soudabond 265 Classic Spray Contact Adhesive Spray can be applied to almost all substrates, except for Polyethylene, Polypropylene or PTFE.

Be aware of migration of the plasticizer from softer plastics, this might negatively influence the bond.

Application Method:

Shake can well before use.

When processing, keep the aerosol can at all times upright and fully press the nozzle. Spray at a distance of approximately 5cm to 10cm of the object.

Apply the adhesive evenly to both to be bonded surfaces. Spray the lanes over the entire material, preferably having a halfway overlap of the previous lane in order to have covered the whole surface with 2 layers.

Two light coats (with overlap) give better results than one thick coat. Wait at least 10 minutes (at 23°C and 50% R.H.) and join the two parts together. Then press firmly together.

When making connections, the strength and not the duration of the compression will determine the ultimate strength. Preferably use a roller or a rubber hammer to press together.

After spraying, hold the can upside down and press the spray head until only propellant and no more product comes out to prevent clogging up of the spray can.
