Platinum Cob Plugs

Brickwork and blockwork in particular can become soft and unsuitable for standard Plaster Plugs. Platinum Cob Plugs have an expansion pin which provides a secure fixing to poor quality base material

When fixing membrane to the wall using Platinum Cob Plugs, use a 10mm Drill Bit and drill to a depth of 5mm deeper than the plugs length (i.e if using using a 60mm Cob Plug, drill to a depth of 65mm. This will allow sufficient space for the fixing to expand in the substrate).

Insert the Cob Plug into the drilled hole and hit the central nail into the plug. This will make the Cob Plug expand into the substrate and create a secure fixing.
