Platinum technology makes available a new revolutionary range of liquid microemulsion pesticides in water soluble sachets incorporating modern formulation technology with environmental friendly packaging.
Platinum Fungicide concentrate is a fungicidal treatment based on novel water internal micro-emulsion technology in which all organic solvent components are removed from the formulation.
The surfactant system used in this micro-emulsion is fully biodegradable and contains no alkyl phenol or alkyl phenol ethoxylate components.
One of the key features of micro-emulsion chemistry is the very high level of thermodynamic stability of both concentrates and the dilutions. Conventional types of formulations can show a large degree of phase separation when diluted with water (creaming to the surface or sedimentation to the bottom) whereas micro-emulsion technology will provide stable formulations ensuring exactly the same level of active ingredient throughout the entire fluid content.
This 3rd generation fast drying bicontinuous micro-emulsion combines excellent penetration properties with the necessary effective control for
long term protection against fungal decay in timber.
Platinum Fungicide concentrate is supplied in a water soluble sachet which is water dilutable for use. It has a Health and Safety Executive statutory 1-hour re-entry time, or until surfaces are dry
The Active
The innovative microemulsion formulation in Platinum Fungicide incorporates the two powerful fungicides 3-Iodo-2-propynylbutyl-carbamate (IPBC) and propiconazole.
The blend of two fungicides compliment each other to give a broad spectrum of activity against a wide range of wood rotting fungi (
both wet rot and dry rot). The surfactant system promotes rapid absorption and deep penetration into timbers.

Application
Dilute 2 x 167g Fungicide sachet into 5 litres of water and allow to dissolve for 2-3
minutes then add mix to another 20 litres of water and mix well prior
to application.
The diluted product can be applied by brush or spray.
Timber to be treated should be reasonably dry before treatment (although the surfactant system will penetrate even wet timber) and any paint, varnish or other surface coating should be removed.
Coverage
Apply 1 litre of diluted product per 3 - 4m² of surface.

Propiconazole 25.26% (w/w), 3-Iodo-2-Propynyl Butyl Carbamate 8.42% (w/w).
